| OBJECTIVES: To investigate the effect of neuroendoscopic cyst windowing combined with cyst-peritoneal shunt in the treatment of intracranial arachnoid cyst.METHODS: A retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 15 cases of arachnoid cyst admitted to the Bethune First Hospital of Jilin University from March 2014 to December 2020.6 cases of headache onset,3 cases of physical examination,2 cases of epileptic seizures and 2dizziness onsets,1 patient came to see a doctor with blurred vision, and 1 patient came to see a doctor with unsteady walking. All patients were diagnosed by CT and MRI before surgery.Neuroendoscopic cyst fenestration combined with cyst-peritoneal shunt was used.MRI or CT reexaminations were performed 3 months,6 months, and 1 year after surgery.RESULTS: Among the 15 patients,9 were males and 6 were females, ranging in age from 3 to 57 years old, with an average of 27±17 years old.The postoperative follow-up period was 3-75 months, with an average of 24.4±17.8 months.Re-examination of the patients in this group showed that the cyst disappeared in 9 cases(9/15,60%)and the cyst was reduced in 6 cases(6/15,40%).One year after the operation, the cyst disappeared in 11 cases(11/15,73%),and the cyst shrank in 3 cases(3/15,20%).Complications were: 2 cases of intracranial infection(2/15,13.3%),1 case of poor incision healing(1/15,6.7%),2 cases of subdural effusion(2/15,13.3%),shunt tube There was 1 case of obstruction(1/15,6.7%).CONCLUSIONS:Neuroendoscopic cyst windowing combined with cyst-peritoneal shunt in the treatment of intracranial arachnoid cysts can combine the advantages of the two types of surgery, with high symptom improvement rate, obvious reduction of cyst volume and less postoperative complications, which has a good application prospect. It is an effective method to treat intracranial arachnoid cyst. |
