| Background and Objective:With the improvement of people’s living standard and the continuous development of medical technology, the indications of fat transplantation are gradually expanding. At the same time, safety concerns about implants continue to arise, and autologous adipose tissue, due to its advantages of easy availability, low cost, reproducibility, and lack of immunogenicity, has become increasingly popular in cosmetic and plastic reconstructive surgery, especially breast augmentation surgery. However, due to the water absorption, cell injury and necrosis, and inflammatory reaction in the transplanted fat particles, the volume retention rate after transplantation was significantly different. Therefore, scholars at home and abroad continue to try to improve the volume retention of autologous fat transplantation, such as the optimization of fat harvest, purification, transplantation and auxiliary technologies, but the overall effect is not satisfactory,so that many patients need twice or more autologous fat transplantation to achieve the expected effect. However, there are no relevant basic and clinical studies on whether there is an optimal time choose between fat injections. The purpose of this study is to use 3D scanning technology to compare the postoperative volume retention rate of augmentation breast injection with autologous fat at different intervals. Objective and scientific data are used to provide clinical evidence,so as to screen out the injection interval time that is more conducive to fat volume maintenance and optimize the procedure of fat transplantation. Methods:The cases of breast augmentation with secondary and multiple autologous fat transplantation performed in our center from 2010 to 2020 were reviewed.Target patients were identified by inclusion and exclusion criteria, and preoperative and postoperative breast volume differences were measured using 3D scanning technology to calculate volume retention.Patients were divided into two groups according to the dates of the first and second operations(group A:interoperative time<120,group B:interoperative time≥120).Based on patient-level data, independent sample t-test,simple linear regression analysis, and multivariate regression analysis were used to perform statistical calculations. Results:In this retrospective study,we included a total of 54 patients, with an average volume retention rate of 26.61%in group A(n=36)while the average volume retention rate was 20.59%in group B(n=1 8).The independent sample t-test showed thatthe volume retention rate in group A was higher than that in group B(P=0.039).Multivariate regression analysis showed that the time between operations was an independent factor affecting the postoperative volume retention rate. Therefore, the two results are consistent. Conclusions:The interval time between autologous fat transplantation for augmentation mammaplasty was an independent factor affecting the postoperative volume retention rate. The postoperative volume retention rate of<120 days group was higher than that of≥120 days group(26.61%±10.07%VS 20.59%± 9.39%,P=0.039).However,age,preoperative BMI,hydrodynamic technology and the volume retention rate after the first operation had no statistical difference on the overall volume retention rate after the operation. |
