Objective:To perform a comprehensive evaluation of the risk factors for total knee arthroplasty in China. Methods:We searched and collected the literature about the risk factors for prosthetic joint infection in Chinese people from setting up databases to November 2019 according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Those database are included in China National Knowledge Infrastruature,China Science and Technology Journal Database(VIP)、Wan Fang database and China Biology Medicine disc(Sino Med).Fixed effects and random effects models were used to calculate the pooled odds ratio values(ORs;with 95%CIs)of these factors separately to perform a meta-analysis and mapping forest plots.Thoes risk factors are included in rheumatoid arthritis、history of hormone therepy、diabetes mellitus、operation time、blood lose、smoking and drainage tube. Results:A total of 12 literatures were included, and the combined OR(95%CI)of risk factors were rheumatoid arthritis(OR=4.84,95%CI: 1.87-12.49),history of hormone therapy(OR=4.75,95%CI: 2.84-7.93),diabetes mellitus(OR=2.57,95%CI: 2.00-3.30),operation time(OR=2.19,95%CI: 1.57-3.04),drainage tube(OR=2.09,95%CI: Smoking(OR=1.76,95%CI: 1.26-2.44),blood loss(OR=1.34,95%CI: 1.06-1.70).Conclusion: rheumatoid arthritis, history of hormone therapy, diabetes mellitus, operation time, drainage tube, smoking and blood loss are all risk factors for prosthetic joint infection after total knee arthroplasty. All risk factors are positively correlated with the incidence of prosthetic joint infection after total knee arthroplasty in Chinese people.
