| With the continuous progress of society and justice,women’s various welfare systems and rights are gradually improved,and women’s social status is constantly improved."Women can hold up half of the sky",the development of women in China is self-evident for the development of the country,and the image of women also reflects the image of the country to a certain extent.In recent years,there are more and more reports and discussions about female groups in the media.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the presentation of female images in the media.Although domestic scholars have some achievements in the study of female media image,most of them choose the characters in literature,film and television works or the presentation of female image by a certain media as research materials,and lack of relevant research on female image presented by different media in the same period.Since the eighteen Party Congress,General Secretary Xi Jinping has emphasized the basic national policy of equality between men and women for many times,and called for gender equality to be implemented.Therefore,through the analysis of the construction and presentation of the media image of female medical staff by media micro-blog,it is conducive to promote the true and objective presentation of the media image of women,create a good media environment for Chinese women,and promote the liberation and development of women.Secondly,with the "me too" movement sweeping the world,China’s women and related women’s rights and interests are more concerned,and women’s issues will always be the focus of academic attention at present and in the future.Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in December 2019,a large number of female medical workers in China have joined the front line to fight the epidemic.According to the statistics of the National Health Commission,among the medical staff supporting Hubei,female medical staff accounted for 2 / 3 of the whole medical staff,becoming the main force of anti epidemic.As one of the largest new media platforms in China,micro-blog has a large number of users and strong public opinion influence.In this paper,the main media micro-blogs represented by “People’s daily”and “CCTV News”,Official media micro-blog focusing on women represented by “China women’s daily”and“Women’s voice”,and the we media micro-blog represented by“Liang Yu stacey”and “Catch Up sisters for gender equality”are selected as the research objects,then add time dimension to analyze the media micro-blog’s report on female medical staff under the new crown epidemic situation.Through the analysis of the selected report samples,the media images of female medical staff are summarized as follows: the national campaign image of volunteering,the professional image with professional medical standards,the angel in white image of benevolence,the gender identity image with stereotypes,and the "Iron Lady" image of women.This paper also discusses the problems existing in the media micro-blog in presenting the media image of female medical staff: the mainstream media micro blog has the problems of insufficient coverage,rigid reporting and weakening the professional image of female medical staff;the Official media micro-blog focusing on women and we media micro-blog has the problems of sensationalism and excessive consumption of the image of female medical staff.In view of the problems of media micro blog in building the media image of female medical staff,the author further analyzes the different reasons for this situation: mainstream media micro-blog mainly has the influence of traditional patriarchal culture,consumer culture and the lack of subjective expression of female groups;Official media micro-blog focusing on women and we media micro-blog mainly have the influence of competing for traffic and single audience type.In this regard,the author rethinks the media image of female medical staff under COVID-19,and puts forward some suggestions for improvement: at the social level,we should reconstruct healthy female value orientation;at the media level,we should improve the coverage strategy for female medical staff.Mainstream media should reduce gender concerns and enhance women’s public space right to speak;Official media micro-blog focusing on women and we media should balance sensationalism and rationality;on the level of women themselves,they should improve media literacy,attach importance to media image awareness,jointly promote the objective presentation of female group image,and create a good female public opinion environment. |
