| Purpose To explore the clinical efficacy of TESSYS technique in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation for more than two years, and to explore the influencing factors of postoperative efficacy through univariate analysis and multivariate Logistic regression analysis. Methods General data of 53 patients who received Tessys surgical treatment and were followed up for single-level lumbar disc herniation in our department from August 2015 to May 2018 were collected,including35 males and 18 females with an age of 39.89±10.49 years and a follow-up time of 37.22±7.40 months.Visual analog core(VAS)and Owsestry disability index(ODI)were used to assess patients’ pain and lumbar function before and at the first day, first year, second year and last follow-up,respectively.The efficacy of the operation was evaluated with the modified Macnab standard at the last follow-up.Univariate analysis and multivariate Logistic regression analysis were performed according to the clinical efficacy of the patients at the last follow-up.Results All 53 patients successfully completed TESSYS operation.VAS score and ODI score were significantly reduced on day 1,year 1,year2 and at the last follow-up,with statistically significant differences.(P <0.05);At the last follow-up,the number of patients with good clinical efficacy was 41,and the number of patients with poor clinical efficacy was12,and the excellent and good rate was 77.36%.Single factor analysis showed that physical labor intensity was an independent factor affecting long-term postoperative efficacy.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that wearing braces, physical labor intensity and protrusion type were all high-risk factors leading to poor postoperative clinical efficacy. Conclusions TESSYS technology has been effective in treating lumbar disc herniation for more than two years, but patients should be advised to wear braces and engage in low-grade physical work after surgery. |
