Investigation On Knowledge Of Osteoporosis Among Patients With Reduced Bone Mineral Density

Objective: To investigate understand and related knowledge crowd of osteoporosis among patients with bone mineral density in some a Haikou-city based hospital.To know which is situation related knowledge,the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis prevention and the status quo of Haikou city,for the development of Haikou city may take the most effective health education measures to provide basis,to improve the public awareness and prevention of osteoporosis and the prevention and measure level,reduce the occurrence of the elderly osteoporosis.Methods: 1.The method of osteoporosis knowledge questionnaire assessment was adopted.302 inpatients and outpatients with low bone mass or osteoporosis as measured by BMD were randomly selected from a third-class A hospital in Haikou City.2.Bone mineral density measurement: DXA bone mineral density meter was used for examination and determination.The bone mineral density of the questioned subjects was completed by the same technician.3.Statistical methods: Excel 2016 form was used to complete Data entry,and SPSS25.0 software was used for statistical and analysis.Questionnaire scores were represented by frequency.One-way analysis of variance and t test were used for comparison between groups,and P < 0.05 showed statistically significant difference.RESULTS: The full score of the questionnaire on osteoporosis knowledge was 27,and the average score of the respondent overall knowledge was 16.35±2.42,and the overall awareness rate of osteoporosis was 60.41%.Risk factors awareness rate66.40%,clinical manifestations awareness rate 46.75%,calcium knowledge awareness rate 55.29%,sports knowledge awareness rate 65.66%.The knowledge of osteoporosis in farmers,housewives and other professional teams was poor,and the awareness rates were 29.04%,54.81% and 51.15% respectively;The level of knowledge of osteoporosis in office workers,health science and education,enterprise managers and retirees was 70.26%,79.85% and 76.85% respectively.Students with junior high school or below had a poor understanding of osteoporosis,the awareness rate was 39.10%;High school and above students have a good grasp of osteoporosis,the awareness rate was 70.02%.The knowledge of osteoporosis in the young group was poor,and the awareness rate was 35.19%;The middle age group and the old group had a good knowledge of osteoporosis,the awareness rate was 61.26%.Men have a poor grasp of osteoporosis knowledge,with a knowledge rate of 59.37;while women have a higher grasp of osteoporosis knowledge,with a knowledge rate of61.37%.CONCLUSIONS: The knowledge of osteoporosis is not comprehensive and the general awareness rate is low among patients with bone mass reduction in a Haikou Grade-A hospital.The degree of knowledge of osteoporosis among patients with reduced bone mass varies greatly.We should carry out Targeted publicity and education for the different groups,so as to improve their awareness rate of osteoporosis related knowledge and reduce the incidence of osteoporosis and brittle fracture.
