| Objective:To investigate the effect of 12 weeks of Baduanjin and Baduanjin combined with resistance exercise on the haemorheology of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes.Methods:Thirty-six eligible patients were selected as experimental subjects and randomly and equally divided into three control experimental groups,namely the control group(Group A),the Baduanjin exercise group(Group B),and the Baduanjin combined with resistance exercise group(Group C),with 12 patients in each group.Subjects in Group A underwent only basic treatment,while Groups B and C underwent a 12-week period of Baduanjin exercise and Baduanjin combined with resistance exercise on top of the basic treatment respectively.The blood glucose,blood lipids and hemorheology indexes of the three groups of patients before and after the experiment were compared and analysed using SPSS23.0 software.Results:(1)Changes in blood glucose indexes:Intra-group comparison:there was no significant difference in the indexes before and after the experiment in group A(P>0.05);FBG,FINs,HOMA-IR and Hb Al Cwere significantly lower in groups B and C after the experiment compared with those before the experiment(P<0.01);Inter-group comparison:after the experiment,there was a significant difference in group B compared with group A for FBG,FINs,HOMA-IR and After the experiment,there were significant differences in FBG,FINs,HOMA-IR and Hb Al Cin group B compared with group A(P<0.05)significant differences in FINs and Hb Al Cin group C compared with group A(P<0.05),and very significant differences in FINs and HOMA-IR(P<0.01);significant differences in FBG in group C compared with group B(P<0.05).(2)Changes in blood lipid indexes:Intra-group comparison:no significant differences in the indexes before and after the experiment in group A(P>0.05).TC,TG,LDL-C and CETP in groups B and C were significantly lower(P<0.01)and HDL-C was significantly higher(P<0.01)compared to before the experiment;Inter-group comparison:After the experiment,there were significant differences in TC,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C and CETP in group B compared to group A(P<0.05);very significant differences in TC,LDL-C,HDL-C and CETP in group C compared to group A(P<0.01)and significant differences in TG(P<0.05);and in group C compared to group B,TC,LDL-C,HDL-C,CETP were significantly different(P<0.05).(3)Changes in hemorheology indexes:Intra-group comparison:there was no significant difference in the indexes before and after the experiment in group A(P>0.05);after the experiment in groups B and C,whole blood high cut viscosity,whole blood low cut viscosity,plasma viscosity,erythrocyte stiffness index,erythrocyte deformation index,ESR,erythrocyte electrophoresis time,FIB and erythrocyte pressure volume were significantly lower compared with those before the experiment(P<0.05 or P<0.01).In addition,whole blood hypotropic reduction viscosity also decreased significantly in group C compared with that before the experiment(P<0.05);Inter-group comparison:after the experiment,plasma viscosity,whole blood hypotropic viscosity,whole blood hypotropic viscosity,erythrocyte stiffness index,erythrocyte electrophoresis time,ESR and FIB were significantly different in group B compared with group A(P<0.05);plasma viscosity,whole blood hypotropic viscosity,whole blood hypotropic viscosity,erythrocyte electrophoresis time and FIB were significantly different in group C compared with group A(P<0.05).There were highly significant differences in plasma viscosity,whole blood low-cut viscosity,erythrocyte electrophoresis time,and erythrocyte deformation index(P<0.01),and whole blood reduced low-cut viscosity,ESR,and FIB(P<0.05)in Group C compared with Group B;there were significant differences in plasma viscosity,whole blood low-cut viscosity,whole blood high-cut viscosity,and erythrocyte electrophoresis time(P<0.05)in Group C compared with Group B.Conclusion:(1)Both Bajuanjin and Bajuanjin combined with resistance exercise can significantly improve the blood glucose level of elderly patients with T2DM,and Baduanjin combined with resistance exercise has a better effect on fasting blood glucose compared with single Baduanjin exercise.(2)Both Baduanjin and Baduanjin combined with resistance exercise can improve lipid levels in elderly patients with T2DM,and the effect of Baduanjin combined with resistance exercise on lipid improvement is more significant than that of single Baduanjin exercise.(3)Both Bajuanjin and Bajuanjin combined resistance exercise improved most of the hemorheology indexes in elderly patients with T2DM,and Bajuanjin combined resistance exercise had a better effect on the hemorheology indexes than single Bajuanjin exercise. |
