| As an emerging medical technology, precision medicine combines gene detection technology and gene editing technology with patients’ characteristics, environment and personal habits to achieve accurate treatment of diseases. But with so many people involved and so many technologies in their infancy, this raises a number of ethical questions. For example,it is difficult to operate informed consent, technical risk, social equity and difficult to protect patients’ privacy, which need our research and discussion.Informed consent,as the primary condition for patients to receive precision medicine,is the basic means to safeguard the basic rights and interests of patients and guarantee their autonomy.Informed consent in precision medicine involves gene sequencing and data analysis of genetic information. This contains a large amount of genetic information about patients and their family members, and its effects are very different from those of the general medical model. If the informed consent mode of traditional medicine is still adopted in precision medicine,it may lead to poor informed effect and other problems, and it is difficult for patients to agree. In the research and application of precision medicine, patients must be fully informed, understand and voluntarily participate in the research and treatment. The risks brought by the development and application of precision medicine need our scientific and effective prevention and control.Any emerging medical technology is a double-edged sword. In the pursuit of the maximum therapeutic effect,we must protect the physical and mental health of patients. The author, from the perspective of the technical risk uncertainty problem of precision medical risk problem, unknown risks may bring obstacles to the development of precision medical application, will also bring challenges to ethical analysis, for precision medical treatment has the characteristics of the technology risk,to adhere to the principle of favorable do no harm, the legitimate rights and interests to safeguard patients rights as the main basis for ethical review. The research involved in precision medicine and the application of related technologies require a large amount of investment, which makes the problem of medical resources even more serious. The high cost of research has brought obstacles to its development, and the high price of technological achievements has made it difficult for ordinary people to bear, resulting in social inequality. In addition, the popularization of genetic testing technology and the application of genetic information technology bring new challenges to patient privacy protection. The improvement of the application speed of gene detection technology promotes the rapid development of precision medicine research. It is not only easy to know the health status of patients, but also to reveal the health problems of their family members, which brings a new privacy protection problem and makes privacy security seriously threatened. The four principles of bioethics, such as the principle of respect, the principle of advantage, the principle of justice and equality and the principle of non-harm,are the theoretical basis to solve the ethical problems of precision medicine. In order to achieve healthy and orderly development, the research and development of precision medicine must adhere to the principle of advantages rather than harms, establish an informed consent system, ensure technical safety, maintain social equity and respect patients’ privacy.Precision medicine represents the future direction of medicine.I believe that as long as the government, medical workers and the public work together, make overall planning, scientific research, pay attention to the ethical norms and system construction of clinical trials and applications, and gradually establish a complete and efficient governance system, precision medicine will surely benefit mankind. |
