Effects Of Resource Utilization And Empowerment On Health Promotion Lifestyle Of Elderly Patients With Chronic Diseases In Community

Objective:To understand the differences in general demographic characteristics of resource utilization,empowerment and health promotion lifestyle in elderly patients with chronic diseases,and to clarify the relationship among resource utilization,empowerment and health promotion lifestyle;to explore the influence of resource utilization and empowerment on health promotion lifestyle,so as to provide reference basis for improving the healthy lifestyle of elderly patients with chronic diseases.Methods:From June to August 2019,a questionnaire survey was conducted among elderly patients with chronic diseases who met the inclusion criteria of this study by using convenience sampling method in a community health service center in Yanji City.Research tools:general demographic data,CIRS,LTCES,HPLP-II.The data were analyzed by SPSS 20.0 and AMOS21.0 statistical software,and the significance and type of mediating effect were judged by Bootstrap method Results:(1)Distribution of general demographic characteristics of subjects:among the 319 elderly patients with chronic diseases investigated in this study,there were more females than males(56.7%and 43.3%).The Han nationality is more than Korean and other ethnic minorities(67.7%and 32.3%).The majority of people aged 60 to 70 were 212(66.46%)and 247 were married(77.4%).The largest number of patients with education in junior high school was 120(37.6%);the proportion of patients with income level from 2001 to 4000 yuan was the largest,132(41.4%);and 194(60.8%)enjoyed medical insurance for urban workers(2)Study object’s resource utilization:the average score of research object’s resource utilization is 54.80±11.09.There were differences in resource utilization among different levels of education,monthly family income and types of medical insurance(P<0.05)(3)The subjects’ empowerment:the average score of empowerment was 165.17±14.48.there were differences in different education level,family monthly income and the type of medical insurance(P<0.05)(4)The average score of health promotion life style was 129.06±16.58.there were differences in different nationality,age,education level,family monthly income and the type of medical insurance(P<0.05).(5)The correlation between resource utilization,empowerment and health promotion lifestyle:there was a positive correlation between resource utilization and empowerment(P<0.05),and a positive correlation between resource utilization and health promotion lifestyle(P<0.05).There was a positive correlation between empowerment and health promotion lifestyle(P<0.05).(6)Study the linear regression of health-promoting lifestyle:on the basis of general demography,the explanatory power of resource use to health-promoting lifestyle increased by 26.8%,and the explanatory power of enabling to health-promoting lifestyle increased by 25.8%.All variables explained a total of 57.4%.(7)The influence path of resource utilization and empowerment on health promotion lifestyle:the non-standardized results of structural equation model showed that the direct effect of resource utilization on health promotion lifestyle was 0.125,the indirect effect was 0.241,and the total influence coefficient was 0.366.Empowerment plays an intermediary role in resource utilization on health promotion lifestyle.Conclusions:(1)The overall situation of resource utilization of elderly patients with chronic diseases in the community is not ideal,the empowerment situation is better,and the health promotion lifestyle is in the middle level.(2)There is a positive correlation among resource utilization,empowerment and health promotion lifestyle of elderly patients with chronic diseases in the community,that is,the better the utilization of resources,the higher the empowerment level,the better their health promotion lifestyle.The age,resource utilization and empowerment of the elderly patients with chronic diseases in the community can affect the health promotion life style of the elderly patients with chronic diseases in the community.(3)The resource utilization of the elderly patients with chronic diseases in the community has a direct positive impact on the health promotion lifestyle,and empowerment has a direct positive impact on the health promotion lifestyle.Resource utilization has an indirect positive impact on health promotion lifestyle under the intermediary role of empowerment.
