ObjectiveIn this study, patients with frequent tension-type headache and chronic tension-type headache are taken as the research objects to discuss the clinical effect of electro-nape-acupuncture therapy on tension-type headache patients.MethodsThis study collected 66 patients who met the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria from January 2019 to August 2019 in the Preventive Treatment Center of Zhongshan Hospital of traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated to Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine.66 patients were randomly divided into experimental group and control group. The number of patients in each group was 33.Both groups were treated with repetitive transcranial magnetic therapy,The experimental group was treated with electric acupuncture, while the control group was treated with amitriptyline combined with diclofenac sodium sustained-release tablets. Two groups of patients were assessed with pain visual analogue scale(VAS)scores, headache score,self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)and self-rating depression scale(SDS)before treatment, after treatment and 3 months after treatment respectively.Discontinued cases and ineffective cases in the experimental process were eliminated, adverse reactions and side effects occurred in each group during the experiment were recorded, and the collected data were statistically compared to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety.Results1.There was no significant difference in age, sex, course of disease, headache type and other general data between the two groups before the experiment(P>0.05),which could be compared.2.There was no significant difference in VAS scores between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05),but there was significant difference in the follow-up period(P<0.05).The VAS scores of the two groups decreased significantly with the treatment time(P<0.01),and the VAS scores of the experimental group and the Control Group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).3.At the end of treatment and follow-up,there were significant differences in the scores of headache between the two groups(P<0.05).The headache scores of the two groups decreased significantly with the treatment time(P<0.01),and there were significant differences between the two groups(P<0.01).There was no significant difference between the control group before and after treatment(P>0.05),and there was significant difference between the follow-up period and before and after treatment(P<0.05).4.There were significant differences in SAS scores between the two groups after treatment and during follow-up period(P<0.05).The SAS scores of the two groups decreased significantly with the treatment time(P<0.01),and there were significant differences between the two groups before and after the treatment and the follow-up period(P<0.01).There was no significant difference between the control group before and after treatment(P>0.05),and there was significant difference between the follow-up period and before and after treatment(P<0.01).5.There was significant difference in SDS scores between the two groups after treatment and during follow-up period(P<0.05).The SDS scores of the two groups decreased with the treatment time, and the difference was significant(P<0.01).The SDS scores of the experimental group and the experimental group before and after treatment and the follow-up period were significantly different(P<0.01).There was no significant difference in SDS before and after treatment in the control group(P>0.05),and there was significant difference in the follow-up period and before and after treatment(P>0.01).6.Efficacy evaluation:compared with before treatment, the total effective rate of the experimental group was 93.75%and that of the control group was 70.97%3 months after treatment.there was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).7.Adverse reactions in the treatment process:1 patient in the experimental group had motion sickness,1 patient in the control group had gastrointestinal discomfort, and 1 patient had somnolence.ConclusionElectro-nape-acupuncture therapy and western medicine can both relieve headache symptoms of TTH patients and improve anxiety and depression of TTH patients.However,electro-nape-acupuncture therapy is more effective in relieving headache symptoms and improving mood.Moreover,electro-nape-acupuncture therapy has less side effects than western medicine and is worthy of further research and promotion.
