Object i veIn this study, the meridian energy values of original points of the twelve regular meridians in the patients who were diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome and the population with normal menstration were measured, and the differences in meridian energy between the two groups were compared to understand the characteristics of meridian value imbalance in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome.MethodsThis project follows the principles and methods of DME,sets up the inclusion and exclusion criteria in line with this study, and adopts a cross-section epidemiological investigation and research method to treat patients from the Department of Gynecology of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine(Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine).154 patients with polycystic ovary syndrome meeting the inclusion criteria were included, and 125 normal controls who met the inclusion criteria were selected from the normal menstrual population of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. All subjects filled out informed consent. After finishing the information collection table, the DMS meridian meter invented by Chengdu Best International Health Institution was used to measure the meridian energy value of the twelve regular meridian points in the whole body of all subjects.Characteristics and differences of meridian energy and resistance of different meridian points were analyzed.Record the subject’s various observation indicators in detail, including height, weight,BMI,meridian energy value, meridian imbalance, etc.,organize the data we collected in order to establish a database and statistically analyze use and scientifically evaluate it with IBM SPSS statistics 20.0 software.ResultsIn this study,279 subjects who met the inclusion criteria were included. The energy value of 24 meridians were measured.Comparing the meridian energy values of the above two groups, the meridians of the left, including lung meridian, spleen meridian, heart meridian, kidney meridian, pericardium meridian and small intestine meridian were statistically different between the two groups(P<0.05).The meridians of the right, including kidney meridian, bile meridian, liver meridian, large intestine meridian, and triple energizer meridian had statistical differences(P<0.05).The left lung meridian, spleen meridian, heart meridian, pericardium meridian and bilateral kidney meridians are mainly deficiency;the left small intestine meridian, right liver meridian, large intestine meridian, triple energizer meridian and bile meridians are relatively excess. The energy values of the left and right meridians of the lung meridian, spleen meridian, heart meridian, pericardium meridian, large intestine meridian, small intestine meridian and triple energizer meridian were statistically different in the group of PCOS(P<0.05),while the energy values of the left and right meridians of the normal subjects were not statistically different(P>0.05).There were differences in BMI between the two groups. The energy value of meridians in obese and non-obese patients with PCOS was analyzed.Except for the difference of left gastric meridian, there was no significant difference in other meridians. The meridians of obese and non-obese subjects were analyzed, and the energy of the spleen, liver, bile and triple energizer meridians turned out to be different.ConclusionBy comparing the energy of meridians between the patients with polycystic ovary syndrome and the subjects in normal menstruation group,we can see that except for liver, spleen and kidney, there are also energy abnormalities and imbalance in the heart, lung, pericardium and the large intestine, small intestine, gallbladder and triple energizer. It suggests that Chinese physicians should pay more attention to regulating the functional activities of the related viscera and meridians in clinical diagnosis and treatment.
