Palm-scrubbing Manipulation And TDP Clinical Effect’s Comparative Study

ObjectivesBoth palm-scrubbing manipulation and TDP take "warm and hot effect"as the main effect.By observing and comparing the clinical effects of palm-scrubbing manipulation and TDP in the treatment of cold dampness lumbago,this paper tries to explore whether palm-scrubbing manipulation can be replaced by TDP in clinical treatment from the aspects of clinical efficacy,warm property and patient willingness.MethodsIn this study,90 patients were collected from the massage department of Shenzhen Bao’ an Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital,all of whom were patients with cold dampness lumbago meeting the study design.The 90 patients were randomly divided into group A,group B and group C,with 30 patients in each group.In group A,patients were treated with palm-scrubbing manipulation by straight scrubbing method alternately on bladder and governor meridians in both sides of the waist for 3min and rested for 1min.Next,repeated the above steps for 2 times for a total of 12 min.Then,scraped the lumbosacral region with palm-scrubbing manipulation by horizontal scrubbing method for 1 min and rest for 1 min.Repeated the above steps once more for a total of 3 min.The entire treatment process takes about 15 minutes.In group B,the waist was irradiated with TDP for 15min.Group C received TDP waist irradiation for the first and second time for 15min.The patients were treated with palm-scrubbing manipulation for the third and fourth times.The patients were treated with palm-scrubbing manipulation by straight scrubbing method alternately on bladder and governor meridians in both sides of the waist for 3min and rested for 1min.Next,repeated the above steps for 2 times for a total of 12 min.Then,scraped the lumbosacral region with palm-scrubbing manipulation for 1 min and rest for 1 min.Repeated the above steps once more for a total of 3 min.The entire treatment process takes about 15 minutes.For the fifth time,the patients decided whether to use palm-scrubbing manipulation or TDP irradiation,and the treatment process was consistent with palm-scrubbing manipulation or TDP irradiation.Recorded the patient’ s fifth choice of treatment.Each group was treated once a day for 5 consecutive days.Before and after treatment,the subjects were scored on the modified Oswestry disability index and the Traditional Chinese Medicine symptom quantification scale,and the scores before and after treatment were compared to determine the efficacy.Results(1)The statistical analysis of patients in three groups on gender,age,course of disease,modified ODI scale score before treatment and quantitative score of Traditional Chinese Medicine symptom before treatment showed P>0.05,indicating no statistically significant difference.There was no significant difference between the three groups,so there was no comparability.(2)The modified ODI scale scores in three groups before and after treatment were tested by t test or rank sum test,and the results showed statistically significant differences(P<0.05),indicating that the Traditional Chinese Medicine symptoms of lumbago in the three groups were all improved.According to the rank sum test,the quantitative scores of Traditional Chinese Medicine symptoms in the 3 groups before and after treatment showed statistically significant differences(5<0.05),indicating that Traditional Chinese Medicine symptoms of lumbago in the 3 groups were improved after treatment.(3)Comparison of clinical efficacy:The A group recovered 0 case,markedly effective in 3 cases(10%),effective in 23 cases(76.7%),and ineffective in 4 cases(13.3%);the B group was cured 0 case,markedly effective in 0 case,effective in 21 cases(70%),and ineffective in 9 cases(30%).The difference between the two groups is statistically significant(P<0.05),The total effective rate of the A group(86.7%)was higher than the B group(70%),indicating that the A group was superior to the B group.The C group was cured 0 case,markedly effective in 0 case,effective in 21 cases(70%),and ineffective in 9 cases(30%).(4)In the fifth treatment of group C,26 patients chose palm-scrubbing manipulation and 4 patients chose TDP irradiation.Conclusions(1)Both palm-scrubbing manipulation and TDP could reduce the modified ODI scale score and Traditional Chinese Medicine symptom quantification score of patients with cold dampness lumbago,but the clinical effect of palm-scrubbing manipulation was better than that of TDP.(2)Currently,the role of palm-scrubbing manipulation in clinical practice can’t be replaced by TDP.
