The Clinical Research Of Lumbar Three-Needle Combined With Fire-Needle Therapy In The Treatment Of Sciatica

ObjectiveThis study aims to investigate the causes of sciatica by observing the clinical efficacy of lumbar 3-needle therapy combined with fire needle therapy in the treatment of sciatica.A randomized controlled study was conducted to evaluate the improvement of pain degree and lower waist function of patients with sciatica before and after treatment using lumbar 3-needle therapy combined with fire needle therapy,in order to provide a safe,effective and convenient treatment for this disease,which has fewer side effects,to provide a clinically innovative method for the treatment of sciatica.MethodsA total of 60 patients with sciatica who met the inclusion criteria based on the prescribed diagnostic criteria were collected from the clinic of the acupuncture and spinal department of the first affiliated hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese medicine from November 2018 to November 2019 for this study.Patients were randomly divided into treatment group(lumbar 3-point therapy combined with fire acupuncture group)and the control group(acupuncture group),with 30 patients in each group.Patients were treated for a total of 3 weeks,3 times per week,one course per week,a total of 3 courses.Patients were assessed by Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)and Japanese Orthopaedic Association Scores(JOA)before and after treatment.All result data were collected and analyzed using SPSS22.0 software.The mean value of measured data ± standard deviation was expressed as(x±s),and the calculated data was expressed as percentage(%).Using α=0.05,P<0.05 as the test standard.ResultsGeneral data of the two groups were compared before treatment including gender,age,course of disease,pain degree,etc.,showed no significant difference and no statistical significance(P>0.05),indicating the two groups were comparable.VAS and JOA scores were compared between the two groups before treatment,suggesting that VAS and JOA scores of the two groups before treatment showed no significant difference(P>05),indicating comparability.The treatment group was compared with the control group after treatment,and results showed that the difference in pain VAS score and JOA score was statistically significant,P<0.05,indicating the treatment group better than the control group.The total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.33%while it was 83.33%in the control group,proving the difference was statistically significant,P<0.05.The results showed that the curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.Conclusion Lumbar three-needle combined with fire-needle therapy(treatment group)and conventional acupuncture group(control group)in the treatment of sciatica,have a significant effect.1.Lumbar three-needle combined with fire-needle therapy(treatment group)to Sciatica can reduce pain,improve lumbar function and improve life treatment.2.Lumbar three-needle combined with fire-needle therapy(treatment group)has obvious curative effect and high safety in the treatment of sciatica,which is worthy of application and promoting.
