The Study Of Correlation Of Pain-sensitive And Heat-sensitive With Bell’s Palsy Recovery Period

ObjectiveTargeting patients who are in Bell’s Palsy Recovery Period,we observe the distribution of heat sensitive points as well as pain sensitive points,and then we come to the further study of the relativity of heat sensitivity and pain sensitivity of acupoints to guide clinical treatment.MethodsCross-sectional study method is adopted to study patients in Bell’ s Palsy Recovery Period in the outpatient and in-patient Acupuncture Department of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine,from March 2019 to December 2019.The doctors fill out the case observation forms to figure out the patients’demographic characteristics,use the heat-sensitive moxibustion to explore heat sensitive points,press the reaction points of pressing pain,and then use biosb evf3 detector to detect the tenderness threshold of pain sensitive points.Based on the Frequency Statistics,the frequency of the meridians,acupoints and sites with heat sensitivity and pain sensitivity are sorted out and ranked.The pain threshold data are collected and analyzed with SPSS19.0 software to compare the mechanical pain between the sensitized area and the non-sensitized area.All the data are expressed as mean ± standard deviation(x±s).If they obey the normal distribution,paired sample t test will be used,if not,wilcoxon test in nonparametric test will be used,and P<0.05 is the statistically significant standard for difference.The correlation analysis of acupoint heat sensitivity and pain sensitivity is performed in the patients with heat sensitivity and pain sensitivity at the same time.The paired Chi-square test is tested with SPSS19.0 software with P<0.05 as the difference.Results1.Among the 104 patients with Bell’s facial paralysis,there were 82 patients with acupoint heat sensitivity,the incidence of heat sensitivity was 78.85%;the heat-sensitive phenomenon of the patients’ acupoints mainly appears in the faces and necks of their heads which mainly and specifically belong to Yangming meridians and Shaoyang meridians.The top three frequently used acupoints are Dicang(ST4),Yifeng(SJ17),Jiache(ST6).2.Among the 104 patients with Bell’s facial paralysis,there were 66 patients with acupoint pain sensitivity,the incidence of pain sensitivity was 63.46%;most acupoints have pain-sensitive phenomenon in the faces and necks which mainly and specifically belong to Yangming meridians and Shaoyang meridians.The top three frequently used acupoints are Yifeng(SJ17),Dicang(ST4),Sibai(ST2).3.Among the 104 patients with Bell’s facial paralysis,there were 93 patients with acupoint heat sensitivity,the incidence of heat sensitivity was 89.42%;55 patients with acupoint heat sensitivity and pain sensitivity,53.89%with acupoint heat sensitivity;the incidence of sensitization had nothing to do with TCM syndrome differentiation.The heat sensitivity and pain sensitivity of high frequency(>10 times)acupoints are tested by paired Chi-square test,there was a significant correlation between the heat sensitive and pain sensitive phenomena of Yifeng,Hegu,Jiache,Shangguan,Fengchi,Jingming,Dicang,Qianzheng,Cuanzhu,Sibai,Wangu,Touwei,Xiaguan,Yingxiang,Taiyang,Zusanli,Tinghui,Daying,Yangbai,Quanliao and Juliao(P<0.05);there was a strong correlation between heat sensitivity and pain sensitivity of Yifeng,and there was no obvious correlation between heat sensitivity of Sizhukong and Yuyao(P>0.05).Conclusion1.The phenomenon of acupoint sensitization is common among patients in Bell’s Palsy Recovery Period.The rate of sensitivity is 89.42%,while thehe rate of heat sensitivity is 78.85%and the pain sensitivity is 63.46%.The rate of occurance of both two is 53.89%.2.Among the patients in Bell’s Palsy Recovery Period,the incidence of sensitization had nothing to do with TCM syndrome differentiation;heat sensitivity and pain sensitivity often occur in acupoints on the faces and necks,especially in Yangming Meridian and Shaoyang Meridian.3.Among the patients in Bell’s Palsy Recovery Period,heat sensitivity and pain sensitivity of the acupoints has correlation.By exploring the pain sensitive points,it can guide part of the selection of heat sensitive points to reduce the time of point exploration.
