Research On S Plant EHS Management System Improvement

EHS is initials of environment,occupational health and safety and the EHS department is responsible for the environment,occupational health and safety relevant issues management.As a large multinational production-oriented enterprise,the EHS department with effective establishment and implementation of EHS management is to control and decrease the accident rate and occupational disease rate,even to reduce the negative impact on enterprises,direct and indirect economic loss caused by the accident.EHS is becoming increasingly important today,and also one seriously important part of corporate social responsibility.In this thesis,the case study of S plant EHS management system,according to the EHS management requirement and experience from S headquarters,as well as ISO 45001,the occupational health and safety management system standard.Analyze the findings existing in the S plant EHS management system establishment and operation and find the improvement solution for EHS management system in S plant.From the analysis of S plant EHS management system,we finally got findings as follows,(1)the poor employee participation;(2)the practicality and suitability of the EHS management related procedures are poor;(3)poor compliance of the EHS related laws and regulations;(4)the EHS hazard identification is poor;(5)the poor EHS training;(6)unclear reward and penalties regulation.To continuously correct and improve S plant EHS management system,we can start from the following solutions:(1)analyzing all S plant EHS relevant factors and establish the EHS policy and goal;(2)establish the EHS organization,and define the related responsibilities and authority to strengthen the participation,and organize the EHS system improvement team;(3)strengthen the EHS hazard identification,and improve the EHS related laws and regulations compliance;(4)document the EHS management procedures;(5)ensure enough EHS training;(6)clear the reward and penalties regulation;(7)strengthen the EHS system trial operation,internal auditing and management review.At the same time,from the perspective of establishing a good macro environment,the top managers should make good relevant commitments,strengthen the guarantee of resource input,and ensure the comprehensiveness and effectiveness of the monitoring and measurement of the EHS management system.It is hoped that the thesis can provide the EHS management system improvement solution in S plant,and also could provide a suggested idea for the effective establishment and implementation of EHS management system for manufacturing enterprises in China.
