Objectives:Euphrobia humifusa Willd-belonging to Genus Euphorbia,from which nearly 1000 terpenoids have been discovered-mainly distributed in south China,has been widely used as the treatment of dysentery,enteritis and hemoptysis,however,the studies on the chemical constiuents and their bioactivities of E.humifusa are still inadequate.In order to take full advantage of the specie as a medicine plant,the isolation and identification of the chemical constiuents have been carried out.Methods:The chemical constituents were isolated via various chromatography including:silica gel,ODS,Sephadex LH-20 and preparative HPLC and preparative TLC.And all the structures of the compounds are elucidated on the basis of extensively 1H NMR and 13C NMR data analysis.Results:20 compounds have been isolated and elucidated while 13 ones are newly discovered,including 3 oleanic triterpenoids(1-3,humifusanoids A-C),5 cycloartanic triterpenoids(4-8,humifusanoids D-H),1 euphanic triterpenoid(9,humifusanoids I),3 dammaranic triterpenoids(10-12,humifusanoids J-L)and 1 cembranic triterpenoid(13,humifusanoid M).The rest known compounds belong to triterpenoids,firstly isolated from Euphorbia humifusa.
