| Objective:Through the comparison of clinical trials, this study explored the clinical therapeutic effect of Appendiceal Xiaoyong Decoction combined with antibiotics in the treatment of periappendiceal abscess, and objectively evaluated the clinical effect and curative effect of Appendiceal Xiaoyong Decoction.Methods:Sixty-four patients with periappendiceal abscess in the surgical department of our hospital from December 2019 to December 2020 were selected as the research objects, and were divided into the control group and the treatment group with 32 cases in each group by the randomized controlled grouping trial method. The control group was treated with antibiotics in addition to the conventional basic treatment of Western medicine.Treatment group: on the basis of the control group, add appendix Appendiceal Xiaoyong Decoction. The body temperature, symptoms, signs, laboratory examination indexes and mass dissipation of the two groups during treatment were observed and compared to determine the clinical efficacy. Results : No serious complications or adverse consequences occurred in the two groups during the treatment period, and the clinical trial was successfully completed.(1)Baseline comparison: there were no statistical differences in gender, age, diameter of abscess before treatment and various laboratory indicators of Western medicine between the two groups(P > 0.05),indicating comparability.(2)The recovery time of body temperature, relief time of abdominal pain and disappearance time of abdominal pain in the treatment group were better than those in the control group, with significant differences after statistical analysis(P<0.01).(3)In terms of improvement of laboratory indicators, there were no significant differences in white blood cell count, neutrophil percentage and C-reactive protein value between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After 3 days of treatment, there were statistically significant differences in white blood cell count and neutrophil percentage between the two groups(P<0.05),but there was no statistically significant difference in C-reactive protein value(P>0.05).On the 7th day of treatment, there were statistically significant differences in laboratory index values between the two groups(P<0.05).On day 14 of treatment, laboratory indicators returned to normal in both groups. In terms of the improvement of laboratory indicators, the treatment group’s laboratory indicators returned to normal earlier than the control group.(4)Abscess dissipation: there was no significant difference in abscess diameter between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment, the diameter of the mass in all patients was reduced, but the curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).(5)Comparison of efficacy: after 2 courses of treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group was 100%;The control group was 96.88%,and the difference was statistically significant after statistical analysis(P<0.05).The treatment group had better efficacy than the control group.(6)Comparison of efficacy of TCM syndromes: after the end of treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group was 96.88%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(75%).After statistical analysis(P<0.05),the comparison of efficacy of TCM syndromes between the two groups was statistically significant, and the efficacy of the treatment group was better than the control group. Conclusion:The results of this study show that the combination of Appendiceal Xiaoyong Decoction and antibiotics in the treatment of periappendiceal abscess has a definite clinical effect. It has more advantages in promoting the recovery of patients’ body temperature, improving patients’ pain symptoms, reducing the scope of abscess, and promoting the recovery of patients’ laboratory indicators. It indirectly indicates that Appendiceal Xiaoyong Decoction can reduce the inflammatory response of patients with periappendiceal abscess and promote the absorption of abscess, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application. |
