| ObjectiveTo know about the situation of resilience,self-efficacy,social support, coping styles and quality of life of patients with colon cancer and to investigate the impact of resilience,self-efficacy,social support, and coping styles on the quality of life of patients with colon cancer.Methods196 patients with colon cancer were recruited in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from September 2019 to September 2020.Demographic information and clinical data were collected.Resilience was evaluated by Connor-Davidson resilience scale(CD-RISC),and self-efficacy was evaluated by General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES).Social support was assessed by multidimensional scale of perceived social support(MSPSS),and coping styles were assessed by scales of ways of coping with stress(SWCS).Quality of life was evaluated using European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire-core 30(EORTC QLQ-C30).Normal data were compared by t-test or variance analysis,Pearson’s correlation was used to analyze the relationship between variables, and linear regression was used for the analysis of influencing factors of quality of life.Results1.The total score of resilience was 56.55±13.84,and the score of self-efficacy was 2.35±0.73.The total score of social support was 75.82±8.47.The score of efective coping ways was 32.62 ± 4.57,and the score of ineffective coping ways was 17.71±4.28.The score of quality of life was 64.42±25.51.2.Comparing the differences in the quality of life of patients with different demographic and clinical characteristics, the results show that people with different education levels(t=-1.991,P=0.048),family average monthly income(t=-2.310,P=0.026),cancer stage(t=2.423,P=0.016)and exercise time(t=-2.035,P=0.043)had significant differences on the quality of life.3.Pearson’s correlation analysis showed that resilience(r=-0.823,P<0.001),self-efficacy(r=0.754,P<0.001),social support(r=0.612,P<0.001),and effective coping styles(r=0.675,P<0.001)was positively correlated with the quality of life.Ineffective coping style(r=-0.371,P<0.001)was negatively correlated with quality of life.4.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the family average monthly income(β=0.081,P=0.041),cancer stage(β=-0.095,P--0.028),resilience(β=0.214,P<0.001),self-efficacy(β=0.285,P<0.001),family support(β=0.138,P=0.013),and effective coping ways(β=0.173,P=0.006)were independent predictors of the quality of life.Conclusions1.colon cancer patients’ resilience and self-efficacy ofwere at low level.Social support was at a high level;patients adopt effective coping ways more often than ineffective coping ways.Quality of life was at an intermediate level.2.The quality of life of patients with colon cancer is related to family average monthly income, cancer stage,resilience,self-efficacy,social support and coping styles. |
