Objective:To investigate the association between methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase(MTHFR)gene C677 T polymorphism and Parkinson’s disease(PD),and to provide effective evidence-based medicine for individuals with high risk of PD in the future. Methods:The MTHFR C677 T gene of 45 PD patients and 92 healthy people who met PD diagnosis standard was detected by PCR microarray hybridization. The influence of PCR gene chip hybridization on Hcy was related to the occurrence of Parkinson disease. The proportion of different genotypes and alleles of MTHFR C677 T gene in the two groups was compared.Results:1.According to Hcy level, the genotype frequency and allele frequency of MTHFR C677 T locus were significantly different between high Hcy group and normal Hcy group(P < 0.01);2.The frequencies of TT genotype and T allele of MTHFR C677 T gene were significantly different between PD group and control group(P< 0.05);3.According to the analysis of two yuan Logistic, the independent factors of Hcy were MTHFR C677 T gene TT genotype and CC genotype. The incidence rate of high Hcy of TT genotype carriers was 7.853 times that of CC/CT genotype carriers(OR = 7.853,95%CI:2.457 25.104 25.104).The protective factor of Hcy was MTHFR C677 T CC genotype(or = 0.167,95% CI: 0.055-0.501,P = 0.001).4.Logistic regression analysis showed that the risk factor of PD was the TT genotype of MTHFR C677 T site. The risk of PD in MTHFR C677 T TT mutation was 4.722 times higher than that in non TT mutation(or = 4.722,95% CI: 1.642-13.581,P = 0.004).5.The difference of Hcy between the two groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion:This study suggests that the TT homozygous mutation of MTHFR C677 T gene may be related to the pathogenesis of PD,which is a susceptible genotype of PD,and the important factor causing the rise of Hcy level may be it.In contrast, the CT heterozygous mutation of MTHFR C677 T gene has no special effect on the increase of Hcy.The CC normal wild type may have protective effect on the pathogenesis of high Hcy,and there may be no significant correlation between CC /CT genotype and PD.
