Objective The purpose of this paper is to explore the current situation and influencing factors of health literacy and quality of life in middle-aged and eldly patients with chronic diseases repeatedly admitted, and to analyze the correlation between them.It is of great significance to reduce the number of repeated admission, improve the prognosis of patients with chronic diseases, promote the health of patients, and improve the quality of life of patients, and provide the basis for the formulation of health education plans and interventions to improve the health literacy and quality of life of patients with chronic diseases. Methods Under the condition of informed consent,471 middle-aged and eldly patients with chronic diseases were selected from 4 hospitals in Jinzhou City from May to November 2019.The General Situation Questionnaire was used to investigate the demographic characteristics of patients, the Chronic Disease Patient’s Health literacy Scale was used to evaluate the patient’s health literacy level, the SF-36 scale was used to evaluate the patient’s quality of life, the SPSS21.0 statistical software was used to organize and analyze the data, the descriptive analysis was used to describe the patient’s demographic characteristics, the t test or single factor ANOVA was used to compare the different demographic characteristics,A Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between patients’ health literacy and quality of life.Results1.The Cronbach’s α coefficient of Chronic Disease Patient’s Health literacy Scale is 0.978,the KMO value of validity is 0.977,the Cronbach’s αcoefficient of SF-36 scale is 0.834,and the KMO value of validity is 0.963.The questionnaire used in this study has good reliability and validity.2.The total score of health literacy was(92.15±23.39),the rate of health literacy was 46.5%,and the total score of health literacy of chronic patients with13 demographic characteristics, such as sex and age,was statistically significant(P<0.05).The regression coefficient of age, marital status and other10 demographic characteristics was statistically significant(P<0.05).Older women, married, living with spouse, factory professionals, towns near living areas, high monthly economic income,no smoking and alcohol consumption, less illness, fewer admissions,2~3 years disease course have higher health literacy.(1)There were significant differences in the scores of information acquisition ability among the patients with 14 demographic characteristics, including sex and occupation(P<0.05).The regression coefficient of sex, occupation and other 8 demographic characteristics was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)There were significant differences in the scores of information acquisition ability among the patients with 12 demographic characteristics, including sex and age(P<0.05).The regression coefficient of age, occupation and other 7 demographic characteristics was statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)There were significant differences in the scores of information acquisition ability among the patients with 10 demographic characteristics, including sex and age(P<0.05).The regression coefficient of age,the type of diseases and other 5 demographic characteristics was statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)There were significant differences in the scores of information acquisition ability among the patients with 12 demographic characteristics, including sex and age(P<0.05).The regression coefficient of age, education level and other 6 demographic characteristics was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.The physics health scores of patients were(58.95±21.32),The mental health scores of patients were(68.43±19.90).Women aged 50~,married,living with spouse and children, factory professionals, high monthly income, high education, near urban areas,no smoking and alcohol consumption;fewer patients, fewer admissions and with 4~5 years disease course have higher quality of life.(1)The physics health scores of 11 demographic characteristics such as sex,age and health literacy scores were statistically significant(P<0.05),The regression coefficient of age, education level and other 5 demographic characteristics was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)The mental health scores of 10 demographic characteristics such as sex,age and health literacy scores were statistically significant(P<0.05),The regression coefficient of type of diseases and other 5 demographic characteristics was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Correlation coefficient(r value)between total score of health literacy, physical health score and mental health score of patients with chronic diseases were0.426~0.479(P<0.05),0.742~0.750(P<0.05).Conclusions1.The health literacy of middle-aged and elderly patients with chronic diseases are at a low level, and gender, age, marital status, living status, occupation, living area, culture degree, monthly economic income, smoking history and drinking history, disease type, admission number and number of illness are the influencing factors of health literacy.2.The number of admissions, health literacy, age, years of illness, marital status, occupation, culture, and monthly economic income are the factors affecting the quality of life.3.There is a positive correlation between health literacy and quality of life. The higher the health literacy, the higher the quality of life of patients with chronic diseases.Medical staff can take measures such as health education to improve patients ’ own health management ability and health quality level,so as to improve the quality of life. |
