Purpose:To evaluate the recent clinical efficacy of transurethral resection of the prostate(TURP)and greenlight photoselective vaporization of the prostate(PVP)in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH).The aim is to provide individualized diagnosis and treatment basis for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Methods:The patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia who were treated in the Department of Urology of the first Hospital of Jilin University from October 2018 to October 2020 were analyzed retrospectively.Statistical analysis indicators include general data of patients:age, prostate weight, prostate specific antigen(prostate-specificantigen,PSA),international prostate symptom score((International Prostate Symptom Score,IPSS),quality of life score(qualityofLife,QOL),hematuria, indwelling catheter, drug treatment, underlying diseases, etc.Perioperative data:operation time, postoperative bladder irrigation time, indwelling catheter time, difference of hemoglobin concentration before and after operation, difference of serum sodium concentration before and after operation, blood transfusion, capsule perforation, bladder injury, rectal injury, electroresection syndrome(transurethralresectionsyndrome,TURS).Early postoperative complications(within 30 days after operation)included fever, urinary infection, dysuria, frequent urination,pain,re-indwelling catheter, temporary urinary incontinence, hematuria, and late postoperative complications(3 months later).Urethral stricture, retrograde ejaculation,re-intervention,urinary incontinence and bladder neck contracture.Six months after operation, the main follow-up indicators:IPSS and QOL score, secondary follow-up indicators:related complications.GraphPadPrism6 statistical software was used for statistical analysis, the mean ±standard deviation of measurement data was expressed in statistical analysis, independent sample t-test was used for inter-group comparison, paired sample t-test was used for intra-group comparison, and x2 test was used for inter-group rate comparison of the counting data in the data.p<0.05 showed that the difference was statistically significant(bilateral test).Results:1、There was no significant difference in preoperative general data between PVP group and TURP group(p>0.05).2、There was no significant difference in operation time and serum sodium difference before and after operation between PVP group and TURP group(p>0.05).There were significant differences in hemoglobin difference, bladder flushing time and indwelling catheter time between the two groups(p<0.05).3、There were significant differences in IPSS and QOL scores before operation and 3 months and 6 months after operation between PVP group and TURP group(p>0.05).There was no significant difference in IPSS and QOL scores before operation and 3 months and 6 months after operation between PVP group and TURP group(p>0.05).4、There was no significant difference in postoperative complications between PVP group and TURP group(p>0.05).Conclusion:Compared with TURP operation,PVP has similar improvement of lower urinary tract symptoms, similar operation time, less intraoperative bleeding, shorter postoperative bladder irrigation time, indwelling catheter time, hospital stay and postoperative recovery time, and there is no significant difference in short-term surgical effect.Big data statistics and long-term effect is also similar,it is a good method for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, can be considered as a substitute for TURP.
