| Objective:With the development of society, open reduction and locking plate internal fixation has been widely used in the treatment of distal radius fracture(C3 type). After many years of clinical observation,it is found that open reduction surgery can achieve good therapeutic effect.Currently, there are many studies on postoperative distal radius fracture(C3 type),including postoperative function and the recovery of imaging measurement parameters before and after surgery. However, there are not many studies on postoperative X-ray indicators of C3 distal radial fractures. The purpose of this study was to investigate the short-term follow-up analysis of radial height loss after internal fixation of C3 distal radial fractures. To investigate the results of short-term follow-up analysis of radial height loss after internal fixation of distal radial fracture(type C3).Methods:Retrospective analysis was conducted on a total of 18 cases of patients with distal radius fracture(AO type C3)who received volar locking plate internal fixation for distal radius fracture in our hospital from January 2014 to December 2019 with complete follow-up data, including 4 males, aged from 37 to 71 years, with an average age of 53.5±17.5 years. There were 14 female patients, ranging in age from 32 to 80 years, with an average age of 60.1±12.1 years. There were 9 cases of left hand and 9 cases of right hand. The time from injury to operation was 2-11 days, and the average time was 3.33±2.33 days. The mean length of hospital stay was(10.11±2.68)days.Radial height, ulnar Angle and palmar Angle were measured at 1 day,1 month,3 months and 12 months after surgery. The difference of radius height, ulnar Angle and palmar Angle between 4 postoperative time points was statistically analyzed, and the change trend of radius height after distal radius fracture(C3 type)was analyzed. Results:The radius height and ulnar declination Angle of the first day,1 month,3 months and 1 year after surgery were statistically different(P<0.001;P<0.001).In this group of cases, there was no statistically significant difference in palmar inclination at 4 time points after surgery(P=0.228).Radial height measurements on the first postoperative day were statistically different from those at 1 month,3 months and 1 year(P=0.001;P<0.001;P<0.001).There was no significant difference between the radial height measurements at 1 month,3 months and 12 months postoperatively(P=0.947;P=0.596;P=0.643).The ulnar declination Angle on the 1st postoperative day was different from that on the 1st postoperative month, the 3rd postoperative month and the 1st postoperative year(P=0.031;P=0.023;P=0.007).There was no significant difference in ulnar declination Angle between pairwise comparisons 1 month,3 months and 1 year after surgery(P=0.896;P=560;P=0.651).The loss of radius height at 1 year after surgery was related to the loss of ulnar declination(R=0.566;P=0.018).Was not related to the loss of palm Angle(R=-0.023;P=0.931).The radius height loss was(1.39±0.69)mm at 1 year postoperatively. The loss of ulnar deviation Angle was(2.11±1.37)°.The loss of palm Angle was(0.39±1.03)°.Postoperative height loss of distal radius fractures(type C3)occurred primarily within 1 month and was maintained from 1 to 12 months postoperatively. Conclusions:Above all, distal bone fractures(C3)row locking plate fixation of distal radius fractures after the first month the quantity of radial height loss than other time, postoperative 1 months is the key of the distal radius fracture type(C3)period,the need to tell patients with hospital regularly review X-ray,timely replacement loose plaster, thereby reducing the height of the first month the radial loss amount, conducive to the late function recovery. |
