Objective: To investigate the current situation of clinical nurses’ patient safety competence in a Grade Ⅲ hospital in Changchun,explore the degree of clinical nurses’ patient safety knowledge,skills and attitudes,and analyze the influencing factors,and provid theoretical support for improving nurses’ patient safety competence and patient safety management.Methods: The method of cross-sectional investigation was adopted.A questionnaire survey was carried out for 434 clinical nurses who met the inclusion criteria from three Grade Ⅲ hospital hospitals in Changchun to carry out the questionnaire survey,including the general information questionnaire and a self-rating scale for patient safety competence.After the questionnaire was collected,it was checked by two people and then inputted into Excel.The database was established,and the influencing factors were analyzed statistically by SPSS22.0.For general data,Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal-Wallis H test were used for univariate analysis.Factors of statistical significance were taken as independent variables,and the total score of patient safety competence was taken as dependent variable.Multiple stepwise regression analysis was conducted after re-assignment.Results:1.The total score of patient safety competence of clinical nurses was(119.87±10.53),which was at a medium level.The scores of each dimension were knowledge factor(40.73±5.07),system factor(33.96±3.18),skill factor(24.02±2.81)and attitude factor(21.16±2.24).2.Single factor analysis results showed that clinical nurses working years,job position,energy level,position,initial degree,department,per shift is responsible for the number of patients,whether to participate in the number of patient safety related training,participated in patient safety to continue education,undergraduate nursing staff allocation is reasonable,whether can peer support between undergraduate course room staff,whether we have patient safety culture construction difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.The results of multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that the factors influencing the patient safety competence of clinical nurses were as follows: professional title,energy level,department,whether the hospital had participated in continuing education,whether the hospital had the construction of patient safety culture,F=48.672,P<0.001.Conclusion:1.The patient safety competence of clinical nurses is at a medium level and needs to be further improved.2.The factors affecting the patient safety competence of clinical nurses are as follows:professional title,energy level,department,whether the hospital had participated in continuing education,whether the hospital had the construction of patient safety culture.
