| ObjectiveConstruct online and offline blended learning based on the BOPPPS teaching model,and apply it to the teaching practice of "Basics of Traditional Chinese Medicine Nursing",with active learning ability,autonomous learning ability,critical thinking ability,theoretical and practical training scores,etc.as evaluation indicators.Analyze its learning effects,explore new methods in line with TCM nursing information teaching,and provide references for TCM nursing teaching reforms.MethodsThe 2018 nursing undergraduates from a medical college in Shandong Province were selected as the research objects.Numbering the 7 classes,according to the number of natural classes under the premise of ensuring the sample size,using the cluster sampling method to randomly select two classes as the control group,two classes as the intervention group,of which109 people in the control group and 106 in the intervention group People,a total of 215 people.Before the start of the teaching research,explain the purpose and significance of the research to the students in the intervention group in detail,obtain their understanding and cooperation,and sign an informed consent form with the students.The control group implemented the traditional teaching method;the intervention group used a three-step mixed learning based on the BOPPPS teaching model before class,during class,and after class.The two groups of students’ learning initiative,autonomous learning ability,critical thinking ability,theoretical scores,and practical training scores are used as evaluation indicators.The students in the intervention group were issued a teaching effect evaluation questionnaire and semi-structured interviews to understand the students’ learning experience and learning effects,and semi-structured interviews with the instructors were conducted to further understand the teaching experience.Results1.After the end of the teaching research,the scores and total scores of all dimensions of learning initiative of the intervention group students were better than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.After the teaching research,the total score of students in the intervention group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);among them,there was no significant difference in the scores of the two groups in the dimension of learning cooperation ability(P>0.05)),the differences in scores of other dimensions between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).3.After the teaching research,the total score of critical thinking ability of the intervention group students was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);there was no statistically significant difference in the scores of the two groups in the open thinking dimension(P>0.05),the differences in scores of other dimensions between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).4.The theoretical and training scores of students in the intervention group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).5.The students in the intervention group had better online comprehensive scores,and had a higher satisfaction evaluation of the blended learning based on the BOPPPS teaching model.6.The semi-structured interview results show that the learning method is highly recognized by the teacher and student groups,and the overall evaluation of the intervention group by the instructor is better than the control group.Conclusion1.Blended learning based on the BOPPPS teaching model is applied to the teaching of "Basics of Traditional Chinese Medicine Nursing",which is conducive to the improvement of students’ active learning ability,independent learning ability,and critical thinking ability.2.The blended learning based on the BOPPPS teaching model can better promote students’ academic performance and further improve the quality of teaching than the traditional teaching model.3.Blended learning based on the BOPPPS teaching model has improved teaching satisfaction,achieved better teaching effects,and has a certain promotion value. |
