Reliability And Validity Test Of The Syndrome Of Chinese Medicine Scale For Insomnia

Objective To preliminarily evaluate the feasibility,reliability and validity of the syndrome differentiation scale of TCM syndrome elements of insomnia,so that it can be further tested,verified and revised in the whole country.To promote and apply it in the field of Chinese medicine of insomnia disease in the whole country.To provide objective,standardized evaluation tools for the Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment system of insomnia disease.Methods On the basis of the previous research,using the method of epidemiological cross-sectional study,311 cases of insomnia patients were evaluated by using the TCM syndrome diagnosis questionnaire and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)at the same time,after the elimination,287 patients with insomnia were obtained.and 50 insomnia patients were evaluated again after filling in the questionnaire 1 week later.Result 1.The acceptance rate and completion rate of the scale were both over 85%,and the time to complete the scale was controlled within 20 minutes,indicating the feasibility of the scale was good.2.The Cronbach a coefficient of the whole scale was 0.774,0.648 for the dimension of eating syndrome,0.608 for the dimension of qi stagnation syndrome,and greater than 0.4 for the other dimensions,indicating good internal consistency of the scale.3.Spearman-Brown coefficient was 0.822>0.7 and Guttman split-half was 0.820>7,indicating that the split-half reliability of the scale was good.4.Spearman correlation coefficient of retest reliability of the scale was 0.905>0.7,and Spearman correlation coefficient of all dimensions was greater than 0.8,suggesting good retest reliability of the scale.5.The scale extracted 15 common factors,whose KMO value was 0.704,the characteristic root was greater than 1,and the cumulative contribution rate was 62.099%.The 15 common factors almost covered all the items of the scale,suggesting that the structure validity of the scale was acceptable.6.Compared with the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index,the correlations among different dimensions and between populations were poor,suggesting that the calibration validity of the scale was poor.7.The research of this scale involves the participation of relevant personnel in the topic selection and discussion.The compilation process refers to the relevant scale development methods and compilation principles at home and abroad,and the items are screened in a programmed way.The obtained items pool basically covers the common witnesses of insomnia,which suggests that the content validity of this scale is acceptable.Conclusion The syndrome differentiation scale of TCM syndrome elements of insomnia has good feasibility and reliability,good structure validity and content validity,but poor calibration validity.It still needs to be further verified and revised by multi-center and large-sample clinical studies.
