Medication Rule And Academic Thoughts In The Treatment Of Colon Cancer By Professor Xu Hefen:An Analysis Using Data Mining

Objective:This article adopts retrospective research methods and applies data mining techniques to collects and summarizes the medical records of Professor Xu Hefen’s treatment of colon cancer,and studies the clinical diagnosis and treatment ideas and academic experience of Professor Xu Hefen’s treatment of colon cancer.Inheriting the thoughts of famous traditional Chinese medicine and providing guidance for clinical treatment of colon cancer.Methods:From January 1,2016 to April 30,2020,the medical records of 227 cases of colon cancer treated by Professor Xu Hefen in the outpatient clinic were collected and entered into Excel to establish a database.Analyze data through Excel,SPSS Modeler 18.0 and SPSS Statistics 24.0,conduct frequency,drug category,four Qi and five flavors,meridian analysis,association rule analysis and cluster analysis of traditional Chinese medicine,complete data mining,summarize and analyze Professor Xu Hefen’s medication for colon cancer Features,draw the main drug pair combination and core prescription.Results:According to the summary of medical record data,the results are as follows:1.This study included 227 cases,a total of 469 prescriptions,involving 297 traditional Chinese medicines,and the frequency of use of Chinese medicines reached 10107 times.According to the statistical results,the top ten traditional Chinese medicines with frequency of use include:Hedyotis diffusa,Agrimonia pilosa,Stir-fried Atractylodes macrocephala,Chinese yam,Chinese wolfberry,raw astragalus,raw coix seed,Poria cocos,Polygonatum,South Ginseng.2.Among the 297 traditional Chinese medicines,tonic drugs,heat-clearing drugs,and diuretic and dampening drugs accounted for the top three,accounting for 44.42%,13.67%,and 8.69%respectively.Traditional Chinese medicines are mostly sweet,bitter,pungent,sexual,calm,cold,and warm in nature,and are mostly in the spleen,lung,stomach,liver,and kidney channels.3.Based on the analysis of association rules,the five most commonly used drug pairs are derived from mulberry fruit-medlar,fried grain sprouts-fried malt,southern Adenophora-Northern Adenophora,Polygonatum-Yam,and Shanzi Mushroom-Hedyotis diffusa.4.Based on cluster analysis,two core recipes are obtained,one group is Codonopsis,Tangerine peel,Salvia miltiorrhiza,Myrobalan,Gorgon,Polyporus,Ophiopogon,Dendrobium,Dandelion,Dogwood,Ligustrum lucidum,Fried grain sprouts,Fried Malt,mountain mushroom,purslane,and roasted licorice are suitable for patients with colon cancer with strong damp-heat accumulation;the second group of prescriptions:South Adenophora,North Adenophora,Polygonatum,Hedyotis diffusa,Agrimonia,Raw Astragalus,Raw Coix Seed,Poria,Fried Atractylodes,Fried White Peony,Chinese Yam,Rhodiola,Lycium Barbarum,Mulberry Fruit,Raw Licorice,which is suitable for patients with Qi and Yin deficiency in the late stage of colon cancer.Conclusion:Based on the analysis and summary of Professor Xu Hefen’s prescriptions for the treatment of colon cancer,he summarized the diagnosis and treatment ideas of Professor Xu Hefen in the treatment of colon cancer.Professor Xu Hefen believes that colon cancer is located in the lungs and large intestine,with damp-heat toxins as the standard,and qi and yin deficiency as the basis.Therefore,the following 4 points should be paid attention to during treatment:①Adhere to the main principle of strengthening the body and eliminating evils;② emphasize the simultaneous treatment of lung and large intestine;③ treat syndromes based on syndromes,pay attention to addition and subtraction;④ focus on nurturing the acquired base of life and protect stomach qi.
