Shengmai Powder And Guizhi Gancao Longgu Muli Decoction In The Treatment Of The Elderly Heart Failure With Preserved Ejection Fraction

Research purposes:This study observes the effects of Shengmai Powder and Guizhi Gancao Longgumuli Decoction on the elderly cases,whose heart failure with preserved ejection fraction due to deficiency of both qi and yin.The observing effects on patients mainly include the cardiac functional class,TCM symptom score,Minnesota Quality of Life score,6MDT level,and NT-proBNP level.The researcher evaluates and test the safety of the efficacy of TCM in the treatment of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction in the elderly.Based on those findings,the study seeks to find a new way for the TCM treatment of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction in the elderly.Research methodology:Forty elderly patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction are randomly divided into two groups,which includes the control group and the treatment group.And there are 20 cases in each group.On the one hand,conventional western medicine treatment is given to the control group.On the other hand,Shengmai Powder and Guizhi Gancao Longgu Muli Decoction combined with conventional western medicine treatment is given to the treatment group.The course of treatment is lasted for four weeks.In this study,the cardiac functional class,TCM symptom score,Minnesota Quality of Life score,NT-proBNP and 6MDT levels are compared before and after the treatment.Research findings:Before treatment,there is no significant difference in gender,age and comorbidities between the two groups(Sig.>0.05),which indicates that the two group can be applied in this treatment.Before treatment,there is no significant differences between the two groups in the aspects of the NT-proBNP,6WDT,Minnesota Quality of Life Score and TCM symptom score(Sig.>0.05).The result reveals that the treatment can be applied in this research.After treatment,there is a significant difference in the two groups on the NT-Pro BNP levels of patients(Sig.<0.001),and there is a significant difference between the two groups after treatment(Sig.<0.05).The results show that the treatment group is more efficient and effective compared with the control group.After treatment,the 6-minute walk distance of patients in the two groups improve significantly(Sig.<0.05).And the comparison of the two groups reveals that the treatment group is significantly higher(Sig.<0.05).After treatment,the Minnesota quality of life scores of the two groups both get improved(Sig.<0.05).After the comparison of the two groups,the group of Minnesota quality of life scores is significantly higher than the control group.After the treatment,the TCM symptom scores of the two groups both get improved(Sig.<0.001).After the comparison between the two groups,the TCM symptom scores of the treatment group is improved more effectively(Sig.<0.001).After treatment,in the aspect of the effects of improving cardiac function,the effective percentage in the treatment group is 95%.However,the control group is 65%.It is obvious that the treatment group is higher in the aspect of cardiac function improvement(Sig.<0.05).There is no significant difference between the two groups on liver function,renal function,electrolyte and other safety indicators(Sig.>0.05).Conclusion:According to the clinical observation results,it indicates that Shengmai Powder and Guizhi Gancao Longgu Muli Decoction is safe in the treatment of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction,and it can improve the level of NT-proBNP,the 6min walk distance,cardiac function and TCM symptoms.
