Investigation Of Clinical Efficacy Of Auricular Plaster Therapy Combined With Qiangzhi’s Decoction In The Treatment Of Tourette Syndrome

Objective: To study the clinical efficacy and safety of auricular plaster therapy combined with qiangzhi Decoction in the treatment of Tourette syndrome in children(Kidney Deficiency Syndrome),so as to provide reference for the treatment of TS.Methods: 120 children who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into "Ear acupoint therapy + Qiangzhi’s decoction group","Qiangzhi’s decoction group","Ear acupoint therapy group",and "Tiapride group",with 30 cases in each group,and labeled as Group A,B,C,and D,respectively.Group A was given auricular plaster therapy combined with oral administration of Qiangzhi′s Decoction;group B was given oral administration of Qiangzhi′s Decoction solely;group C was given auricular plaster therapysolely;group D was given oral administration of tiapride hydrochloride.The course of treatment was 12 weeks.Yale Global Tic Severity Scale(YGTSS)and TCM syndrome classification scale were used to observe the clinical efficacy,adverse reactions,and safety of the four groups before and after the treatments.Results: 1.After 12 weeks of treatment,both YGTSS score of four groups at each time point were significantly improved compared with those before treatment,P<0.05.2.After 12 weeks of treatment,the integral tic score of Group A was lower than that of Group C and Group D,P < 0.05;the integral of motor tic symptom was lower than that of other three groups,P < 0.05;the integral of vocal tic symptom was lower than that of Group D,P < 0.05.3.After12 weeks of treatments,the TCM syndrome score of Group A was significantly lower than that of Group C and D,P <0.05.4.The total effective rates of the four groups were 92.86%,88.89%,85.19%,and 88.46%,respectively P < 0.05;the total effective rates of the four groups were96.42%,96.29%,92.59%,46.15%,respectively P < 0.05.5.After treatment,the incidence of adverse reactions in the Group A,Group B and Group C were lower than those in the Group D,P < 0.05;there was no significant difference in safety among the four groups.Conclusion: Auricular Plaster Therapy Combined with Qiangzhi′s decoction is safe and effective in the treatment of Tourette′s syndrome in children.
