The Clinical Observation Of Nape Seven Needles On BaPWV And ABI In Patients With Essential Hypertension

Objective: To observe the clinical effect and the impact on baPWV and ABI of Nape Seven Needles on essential hypertension,and to provide effective basis for acupuncture prevention and treatment of hypertension.Methods: 90 patients with mild to moderate essential hypertension were randomly divided into the Nape Seven Needles group,the routine acupuncture group and the control group.The changes of blood pressure value,TCM symptom scores,baPWV and ABI of three groups before and after intervention were compared,and the therapeutic effect was evaluated.Results:1.Comparison within groups:The blood pressure value,TCM symptom scores,baPWV and ABI of the three groups showed statistically significant differences compared with before intervention(all P<0.05).2.Comparison among groups:The indexes of the Nape Seven Needles group and the routine acupuncture group were significantly different from the control group after intervention(all P<0.05).In terms of decreasing the systolic blood pressure,TCM symptom scores and baPWV level,the Nape Seven Needles group was better than the routine acupuncture group(all P<0.05).But in improving the diastolic blood pressure and ABI level,the effect was similar(all P>0.05).3.Comparison of the therapeutic efficiency:The antihypertensive effect and clinical symptom total effect in the Nape Seven Needles group and the routine acupuncture group were better than that in the control group(all P < 0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the antihypertensive efficacy between the Nape Seven Needles group and the routine acupuncture group(P>0.05).However,the Nape Seven Needles group was better in terms of the clinical symptom total effect(P<0.05).Conclusion:Nape Seven Needles can effectively reduce blood pressure,improve clinical symptoms and the level of arteriosclerosis indexes in patients with mild to moderate essential hypertension.This therapy is safe and worthy of clinical promotion.
