The Observation Of Clinical Effect On Treatment Of Pediatric Allergic Rhinitis(Lung And Spleen Qi Deficiency) With Guwei Jianpi Decoction

ObjectiveThis study observes the clinical curative effect and mechanism of Guwei Jianpi decoction on allergic rhinitis in children with lung and spleen qi deficiency syndrome,which provides some new methods and theoretical basis for rational clinical use of drugs as well as effective treatment of allergic rhinitis in children.At the same time,the vital signs of the children were observed during the study,and the indexes such as blood routine,urine routine,liver and kidney function were also monitored.MethodsThis study was approved by the medical ethics committee of our hospital.According to the diagnostic criteria of traditional Chinese and Western medicine,72 children with Allergic Rhinitis of lung and spleen qi deficiency syndrome were included in the study.These children were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,36 for each.Treatment group was given with both the Guwei Jianpi decoction and Loratadine syrup,while control group was only scheduled with the Loratadine syrup.Each group was treated for four-dose course,and one course includes 7 days.Total effective ratio,symptom and sign score Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome score and serum total IgE of two groups before and after treatment were compared.Adverse reactions occurred during the study were recorded.Children’s vital signs and test results of blood routine,urine routine,liver and renal function were observed.ResultsDuring this study,2 cases were lost in the treatment group and 3 cases in the control group,which were both not included in the statistical analysis.Before treatment,there was no statistical difference in the general information such as gender,age,course of disease,symptom and sign score,Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome score and serum total IgE between the two groups(P>0.05).It indicated that two groups could be compared.1.Clinical efficacy:After treatment,the total effective ratio in the treatment group and the control group were 94.12%and 75.76%respectively.The total effective ratio of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group,the difference between two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The clinical effect of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.01).2.Clinical symptoms and signs score of Western Medicine:The scores of symptoms and signs of the two groups after treatment were both lower than those scores before treatment(P<0.01).Compared with the control group,the symptom and sign score in the treatment group after treatment was much lower,and a statistically significant difference(P<0.01).The difference of symptom and sign scores before and after treatment in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in control group(P<0.01).3.Traditional Chinese Medicine symptom score:The scores of Traditional Chinese Medicine symptom of the two groups after treatment were both reduced than those scores before treatment(P<0.01).After treatment,the scores of Traditional Chinese Medicine symptom of the treatment group was obviously lower than that of the control group,with significant difference(P<0.01).The difference of Traditional Chinese Medicine symptom scores before and after treatment in the treatment group was apparently improved than that in control group(P<0.01).4.Serum total IgE:The levels of serum total IgE of the two groups after treatment were both significantly under than those levels before treatment(P<0.01).There was statistical difference in terms of the serum total IgE level after treatment between treatment and control group(P<0.05).The change of serum total IgE level before and after treatment in the treatment group was higher than that in control group(P<0.05).5.Safety evaluation:During the course of study,there were no adverse reactions occurred in the two groups.The vital signs of the two groups were stable,and the blood test,urine routine and liver and kidney function showed normal findings before and after treatment.ConclusionGuwei Jianpi Decoction can not only effectively improve the Clinical symptoms and signs of western medicine,traditional Chinese Medicine symptoms of children with allergic rhinitis of lung and spleen qi deficiency syndrome,but also lower the level of serum total IgE.When using it,there is no special adverse reactions in clinical application,which is constructive for treating pediatric allergic rhinitis by Traditional Chinese Medicine or the integration of Chinese and Western medicine.
