| ObjectiveStoke-induced constipation is a recurrent clinical symptom attributes to acute cerebrovascular accident,which presents as reduced frequency of defecation,difficulty in defecation or insufficient defecation.Incidence rates of this disease have elevated and the age of patients who are suffer from it have indicated a trend of getting younger in recent years.Given the fact that the constipation not only results in negatively affecting patients’ mood and mobility,but also leads to a larger possibility of inducing cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases a large number of medical resources have been consumed.This study aims for testing clinical therapeutic efficacy of stroke patients who suffer from constipation after stroke by acupuncturing Ba-Liao acupoints.In comparison with control group and treatment group by observing clinical assessment scale(CCS),constipation patients quality of life scale(PAC-QOL)score changes,we confirmed the validity of this therapy,practicability,seek a simple and effective for clinical treatment.MethodAll patients in this study were selected from the outpatient or inpatient department of the acupuncture department of the Second Middle School Hospital of Guangdong Province from July 1,2020 to January 1,2021,and all the included patients met the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria.The 66 patients included were randomly divided into treatment group(Ba-Liao acupoints acupuncture)(33 cases)and control group(conventional acupuncture)(33 cases)under conventional basic treatment.2 courses of treatment were preformed,each of them includes 5 days of treatments and 2 days of rest and it lasts for 2 weeks.CCS score and PAC-QOL score were collected before and after treatment in the two groups,and the data was collated and statistically analyzed by conducting SPSS 24.0.Finally,the overall therapeutic efficacy of the two groups was analyzed and evaluated.ResultAfter treatment with the two regimens,CCS score and PAC-QOL score downregulated in all groups,and there was statistical Significance in the improvement degree(P<0.01).CCS score and PAC-QOL score difference were also significantly Significant among all groups(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.93%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 87.5%.There was no significant Significance in the effective rate between the two groups(P>0.05),but no statistically significance was observed in the overall effective rate between the two groups(P>0.05).ConclusionAcupuncture Both Ba-Liao acupoints and conventional acupoints are effective in the treatment of constipation after stroke.After treatment,constipation symptoms were improved in both groups,and the therapeutic efficacy was more obvious in the treatment group than in the control group.Hence,the choice of acupuncturing Ba-Liao acupoints for the treatment of post-stroke constipation is a safe and high degree of cooperation treatment. |
