Objectives:Cognitive impairment in bipolar disorder is defective, and the distinction between cognitive impairment in bipolar disorder Ⅰ and Ⅱ has not been definitively determined.Studies have shown that the MATRICS Consensus Cognitive Battery(MCCB)for schizophrenia can be used for Cognitive assessment of bipolar disorder. The purpose of this study was to analyze the difference of cognitive impairment between bipolar disorder I and Ⅱ patients in euthymic, and to analyze the related influencing factors,so as to provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods:In this study, under the condition of meeting the informed consent, the patients who met the inclusion criteria were evaluated by the Gross Function Rating Scale,Young’s Mania Scale and Hamilton Depression Scale. The healthy control group and the patient group that met the inclusion criteria completed the general condition questionnaire and MCCB test.Results:1.The patients with euthymic bipolar disorder had cognitive impairment, and their scores in processing speed, speech learning, visual learning and reasoning problem solving ability were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the differences were significant.2.There were significant differences in verbal learning, visual learning, reasoning problem solving and total cognitive scores between patients with bipolar Ⅱ and those with bipolar Ⅰ in euthymic, while there were no significant differences in other patients.3.There was a significant positive correlation between the number of hypmanic episodes and visual learning,a significant negative correlation between the number of manic episodes and reasoning problem solving, and a significant negative correlation between the number of episodes and attentional alertness;Age of onset, duration of disease, number of depressive episodes were not correlated with cognitive domains of MCCB and total score of MCCB.4.Visual learning and number sequence scores in MCCB test can predict patients’ gross function. The regression model equation is:GAF=87.47+0.628*A-0.415*B(A=visual learning;B=sequence of numbers).Conclusion:1.MCCB can be used to test the cognitive function of patients with bipolar disorder in China, and can predict the general social function of patients with bipolar disorder.2.Cognitive impairment was more severe in patients with bipolar I than in patients with bipolar Ⅱ who were stable, and cognitive impairment was still present in patients with bipolar Ⅱ who were euthymic.
