| ObjectiveOmega roll envelop flap(OREF)technology has been widely used in the second stage of implant surgery to increase the soft tissue thickness.CGF has also been shown to be effective in promoting soft tissue healing and repair.Until now,there was no report about the effect of CGF combined with OREF technology in the treatment of patients with insufficient gingival fullness.Therefore,the purpose of present study was to devise a new technique to increase the gingival thickness on the labial side of the anterior dental implant.MethodsA total of 20 patients who underwent single-stage implantation of a single anterior maxillary tooth had a concave lip profile were divided into two groups,the experiment group(n = 10),10 patients underwent CGF combined with OREF technology,the control group(n = 10),10 patients underwent only OREF technology.The thickness of the gingivae was measured at different time points of before surgery(T0),one month after surgery(T1),gingival shaping for 3-4 months before permanent crown wearing(T2),and 3months after wearing the crown(T3).The pink aesthetic score of the gingival tissue on the lip side of the implant was scored at the time points of before surgery(T0)and 3 months after wearing the crown(T3).SPSS24.0 software package was used to conduct paired t-test of gingival thickness and pink aesthetic score in the experimental group and the control group at different time periods.Independent sample t-test(equation=0.05)was performed for the change of gingival thickness in the experimental group and the control group before and after surgery.If the data presented a non-normal distribution,Wilcoxon signed-Rank test was used for intra-group gingival thickness and PES score,and Mann-Whitney U test was used for inter-group comparison.ResultsDuring the follow-up period,the retention rate of flaps and implants in the two groups was 100%.Gingival thickness and PES at different time points after the second operation increased statistically than before operation(P <0.05).The gingival thickness and PES in the experimental group increased more significantly than those in control group(P <0.05).ConclusionCompared with the use of OREF technology alone,CGF combined with OREF technology can improve the gingival thickness of the labial side of the implanted area and improve the aesthetic effect of the crown after implantation... |
