Objective: Under the guidance of traditional Chinese medical theory of " Preventive Treatment of Disease ",the effect of Baduanjin, named eight-section brocade as well,in the treatment of middle-aged and elderly patients with mild to moderate knee osteoarthritis was observed through the combination of physical and medical intervention,so as to explore the feasibilit y and rationality of physical and medical intervention treatment in the prevention and treatment of knee osteoarthritis.Method: In this study,76 patients with early and middle stage knee osteoarthritis who met the inclusion criteria and accepted treatment in the Bone Injury clinic of Henan Province Hospital from December 2018 to June 2019 were divided into two groups randomly,38 cases in the control group and 38 in the physical and medical combination group.Patients of the control group took glucosamine h ydrochloride capsule orally and exercised according to the original personal habits of daily exercise. On the basis of taking the glucosamine hydrochloride capsule orally, the physical and medical combination group conducted the intervention exercise of e ight-section brocade. Each time, the Baduanjin was practiced twice, and the patients got an interval of5 minutes after practicing once for the correction and guidance of the actions, the whole process took about 45 minutes totally, exercised 5 days per week, the patients had a time of rest every Saturday and Sunday. Both groups were treated for 12 weeks,VAS,grade of knee joint X ray imaging, peak torque ratio of flexor extensor muscle, which results from isokinetic muscle strength test(H/Q),Lysholm kne e joint scores were observed and recorded before and after the treatment, and recorded the Lysholm knee joint scores of both groups at 1 month and 3 months follow-up after treatment.SPSS25.0 software was used to analyze the observation data and to investi gate the clinical effect of physical and medical combination intervention in the application of knee osteoarthritis. Results: A total of 76 patients with knee osteoarthritis were included in this study. Two cases in the control group could not be contacted at the follow-up;one case the physical and medical combination group refused further treatment because of the improvement of conscious symptoms during the treatment, and 3 cases voluntarily withdrew from the test because of the individual reasons of the p atients. There were70 cases included in the study finally. The total completion rate was 9 2.11%.1.Before the treatment: the comparisons with the gender, the condition of the knee, age,BMI scores, the course of disease in the two groups were no signific ant differences(P>0.05).There was no significant difference as for the observation indicators between the two groups(P>0.05).The two groups were comparable.2.The VAS after treatment in the two groups were obviously lower than pre-treatment(P<0.05),and the physical and medical combination group got a better results in the VAS than the control group.3.There was no significant difference in the grade of knee joint X ray imaging between the two groups before and after the treatment(P>0.05).4.The peak torque ratio of flexor extensor muscle of the physical and medical combination group was obviously improved after the treatment(P<0.05)while the ratio in the control group had no difference after the treatment(P>0.05).After the treatment, the physical and medical combination group evidently excelled the control group(P<0.05)in the peak torque ratio of flexor extensor muscle.5.The repeated measures analysis of variance tests were used in the comparison of the Lysholm knee joint scores before and after treatment in the two groups, and at 1month and 3 months follow-up after treatment,Lysholm knee scores increased significantly in both groups(P<0.05).And the Lysholm knee scores of the physical and medical combination group were significantly better than the control group(P<0.05).Furthermore,the score of the control group decreased than before at 3 months follow-up through the comparison of the two groups, which may suggest that the duration of the efficacy of the control group regimen was lower t han that of the physical and medical combination group. Conclusion :1.Baduanjin regimen, which combine the physical exercise and medical treatment, can effectively alleviate the pain of knee joint, improve the stability of knee joint, improve the lower limb function of patients, delay the process of KOA and improve the quality of daily life of patients.2.Under the guidance of traditional Chinese medical theory of " Preventive Treatment of Disease ",It is an effective method to prevent and treat moderat e knee osteoarthritis in middle-aged and elderly patients to apply the combination of physical and medical inter-vention,which has certain scientificalness and practicability and has positive value of clinical promotion.
