| Objective: The use of Aponeurotic Technique Release Operation Combined with Heat-Sensitive Moxibustion therapy for Knee Osteoarthritis, and systematic observation of its clinical efficacy,in order to provide new ideas and methods for the treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis and explore a new methods, and provide scientific approach and clinical evidence. Methods: Sixty patients with knee osteoarthritis who were treated in the outpatient and inpatient department of acupuncture at the Fusheng Branch of the Affiliated Hospital of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2018 to November 2019 that met the test criteria were selected. The random number table method was used to randomly divide 30 cases of Aponeurotic Technique Release Operation Combined with Heat-Sensitive Moxibustion therapy observation group and conventional acupuncture and Heat-Sensitive Moxibustion control group. The observation group was treated with Aponeurotic Technique Release Operation Combined with Heat-Sensitive Moxibustion therapy. The meridian diagnosis technique was used to detect the lesion meridians. After targeted relaxation was applied, the Heat-Sensitive Moxibustion technique was applied to the heat-sensitized acupoints. The control group received conventional acupuncture and Heat-sensitive moxibustion. The acupuncture points were selected from Dubi,Heding,Xuehai,Liangqiu,Yinlingquan,Yanglingquan,Zusanli, and Ashi. After the acupoint operation is completed,a Heat-sensitive moxibustion therapy is performed. The treatment course of the two groups is the same, once a day,20 days as a course of treatment,a total of 2 courses of treatment. Before and after treatment, the changes in TCM symptoms, physical grading quantitative scores,VAS scores, and WOMAC scores of knee joints were recorded in the two groups. The scores were compared after the two treatment sessions, and the safety and outcome of the treatment were statistically evaluated.Results:1.Efficacy evaluation: 3 cases were basically cured in the observation group,14 cases has a clearly effective,12 cases has effective, and 1 case has not obvious effective. The total effective rate of the disease was 96.7%,and the more significant rate was 56.7%;However,in the control group, there was 1 patient been basically cured, there has 9 patients been self-evident effective, and 16 patients were effective,4 patients has no significant effect. The total effective rate was 86.7%,and the effective rate was 33.3%.The efficacy of the two groups was tested by the rank sum test of two independent samples. The difference in overall efficacy between the meridian treatment observation group and the conventional acupuncture control group was statistically significant(P <0.05).2.Quantitative grading of symptoms and signs of Knee paralysis:Before treatment,There was no significant difference in the quantitative statistical scores of symptoms and signs between the meridian treatment observation group and the conventional acupuncture control group.(P>0.05);After the 20-day course of treatment,The comparison between the observation group and the control group before and after treatment, difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The results show that the treatment regimens of the meridian treatment observation group and the conventional acupuncture control group are effective in treating KOA;There was no significant difference in the scores between the the meridian treatment observation group and the conventional acupuncture control group after treatment(P>0.05),and it could not be explained that the observation group was better than the control group.3.Visual Analogue Scale score,WOMAC score : Before and after the treatment course, the changes of Visual Analogue Scale score and knee WOMAC score of the two groups of patients were recorded. Before the treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in the total score and the score of each symptom function between the meridian treatment observation group and the conventional acupuncture control group(P>0.05);After the treatment, the two groups of patients scored in the comparison group showed that the two treatment regimens of the meridian treatment group and the conventional acupuncture control group produced a curative effect in treating KOA,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);There was a statistically significant difference between the two score groups after the end of treatment(P<0.05),the results proved that the observation group improved patients’ pain, relieved stiffness, and daily life.In terms of activity function,it was better than the control group.4.In terms of safety: The doctor fully informed the patient before the operation, and patiently explained the indications and contraindications of the related operations such as popular science meridian manipulation, thermal moxibustion, acupuncture, etc.explain the relevant operation process to ensure the patient’s full right to know, eliminate the patient’s psychological fear, and prevent adverse events. In addition,Aponeurotic Technique Release Operation is a pure manipulation, with gentle tolerance as the operating technique.,during the clinical observation period,no adverse events such as halo acupuncture, halo moxibustion, halo Tuina and so on occurred in both groups, and the scheme was safe and feasible. The two groups of treatment schemes have high safety factors, are simple and easy to implement, and there is no safety risk. Conclusion: From the results of the study,Aponeurotic Technique Release Operation Combined with Heat-Sensitive Moxibustion therapy have a good clinical effect on the treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis, which can obviously alleviate the patient’s pain, improve stiffness, and enhance clinical functions such as daily life activities. It is easy to implement, and has specific curative effect on the diseased meridians, which greatly improves the quality of life of patients, shortens the course of disease, and saves social medical resources. It can make a big difference for the further clinical research and development. |
