Objective:To observe the effect of massage combined with cupping exercise therapy on the extensor muscles of peak torque, maximum extension range and the impact of clinical curative effect in patients with mild and moderate knee osteoarthritis. So as to provide a certain basis for this therapy and provide patients with a effective, simple and safe treatment. Methods:A total of 68 patients with knee osteoarthritis were selected from Massage Department of the Second People’s Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of Chinese Medicine from July,2020 to January,2021.They were screened strictly according to the criteria of this study and randomly divided into 2 groups. The treatment group was treated with massage combined with cupping exercise therapy while the control group was treated with simple massage therapy. Two groups of patients have received with pain degree determination,WOMAC rating scale, extensor muscles of peak torque and maximum extension range test before and after an observation period treatment.and the clinical curative effect was evaluated according to the "WOMAC score efficacy index".In the end,the application of statistical software was used to analyze its differences as to observe the effect of massage combined with cupping exercise therapy on the extensor muscles of peak torque, maximum extension range and the impact of clinical curative effect in patients with mild and moderate knee osteoarthritis to explore the clinical curative effect of massage combined with cupping exercise therapy for mild and moderate the of knee osteoarthritis.Results:1.Pain degree: The pain degree scores of the two groups were compared within the groups after treatment, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the two groups could reduce the pain of patients;Comparison of pain scores between the two groups was conducted, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group.2.WOMAC score: WOMAC score of the two groups was compared within the two groups after treatment.and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that both groups could improve the knee joint mobility function of patients; The WOMAC score of the two groups was compared between the two groups and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group.3.Peak torque of the extensor muscle: Whether the angular velocity was 60°/s or 180°/s,the peak torque of the extensor muscle of the two groups was compared within the group after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the two groups of treatment could improve the muscle strength of the extensor muscle of the patients. The peak torque of extensor muscle in the two groups was compared between the two groups, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group.4.Maximum range of motion of knee joint: Whether the angular velocity was 60°/s or 180°/s,the maximum extension range of knee joint of the two groups was compared within the group after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that both groups could improve the maximum extension range. The maximum extension range of the two groups was compared between the two groups, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group.5.Clinical efficacy evaluation: The clinical efficacy evaluation of the two groups was statistically significant after treatment(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group, which indicating that the clinical efficacy of the treatment group for knee osteoarthritis was better than that of the control group.Conclusions:1.Massage combined with cupping exercise therapy can relieve pain, improve the muscle strength of the extensor, expand the range of motion of knee extension, improving clinical symptoms in patients with light and moderate knee osteoarthritis, and the curative effect is better than massage.2.Massage combined with cupping exercise therapy optimizes the treatment of mild and moderate knee osteoarthritis, and is worthy of further research and promotion.
