Objective:To compare the clinical efficacy between single needle radiofrequency(RF)and red-blue light joint needle therapy in the treatment of patients with moderate facial vulgaris acne.Record the subjective evaluation and adverse reactions of patients,so as to explore a targeted clinical therapy for acne skin lesions. Methods:A total of 40 patients with moderate facial acne vulgaris were randomly divided into two groups and observed for 8 weeks.Twenty patients were treated with single needle rf therapy. As the rf group, they were treated once at week 0 and once at week 4,and were treated twice in total. The other 20 cases were treated with red and blue light combined with needle therapy as the control group. They were treated once a week from week 0,for a total of 8 times. Both groups were self-controlled before and after treatment. They were recorded and followed up at 0,4 and 8 weeks, respectively. The number of acne inflammatory lesions before and after treatment in two different treatment groups was counted, and the healing rate and effective rate were compared. The Michelsons scores of skin lesions before and after treatment were counted to compare the therapeutic effect and improvement rate.Subjective evaluation and adverse reactions were also recorded.Subjective evaluations included satisfaction score and pain VAS score.Adverse reactions include edema, bleeding, secondary erythema, dry skin, hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation and other unexpected symptoms.Results:1.The number of inflammatory lesions was significantly reduced in the RF group compared with the control group. At 4 weeks follow-up,the recovery rate(45%)in the RF group was significantly higher than that in the control group(10%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the total effective rate of 85%in the RF group and 75%in the control group(P>0.05).At 8 weeks follow-up,the recovery rate(60%)in the RF group was significantly higher than that in the control group(15%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate was 90%in the radiofrequency group and 85%in the control group, and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).2.The skin lesion score of the RF group was significantly lower than that of the control group, and the efficacy was better, and the improvement rate was higher than that of the control group. When comparing within groups, the mean skin lesion scores of patients in the RF group and the control group at 4 and 8 weeks after treatment decreased compared with before treatment(P1<0.05 for both),with statistical significance. When comparing between groups, there was no statistical difference in mean skin lesion scores between the two groups before treatment(P2>0.05),but there was statistical difference in mean skin lesion scores between the two groups after 4 and 8 weeks of treatment(P3<0.05).At 4 weeks follow-up,the improvement rate was 52%in the RF group and 28%in the control group. At 8 weeks follow-up,the improvement rate of the RF group was 62%,and that of the control group was 39%.Comparison between the two groups(P4<0.05)showed statistically significant differences.3.The satisfaction rate of the RF group was significantly higher than that of the control group. At 4 weeks, the satisfaction rate was 45%in the RF group and 20%in the control group. At 8 weeks, the satisfaction rate was 70%in the RF group and 30%in the control group. Both RF and control groups had mild to moderate pain.4.After treatment, the adverse reactions of both groups were mild erythema edema and a small amount of bleeding. Conclusion:Compared with red and blue light combined with needle therapy in the treatment of moderate acne, single needle rf can selectively treat inflammatory skin lesions and has a better effect in the treatment of acne, and the treatment times are also less. One treatment has a more obvious effect and the patient compliance is high. The patient satisfaction of single needle rf treatment was higher than that of red and blue light combined with needle therapy, and the pain treatment was tolerable. There were no obvious adverse reactions except temporary erythema edema and a small amount of bleeding.
