| The occurrence,maintenance,withdrawal and relapse of substance addiction have always been the important issues of scientific research.It is found that long-term drug use can cause serious damage to the inter-temporal choice of addicts.The research on the inter-temporal choice of addicts is focused on the basic research,and the research on the influence of situational cues on inter-temporal choice is lacking,such as drug related cues.It has been found that drug related cues have significant influence on the Executive Functions of inhibition control,working memory and risk decision.However,there is no research on the influence of drug related cues on inter-temporal choice.In addition,the drug related cues in previous studies have been presented for a long time,it’s supraliminal cues.Few studies have investigated the influence of subliminal drug related cues on the inter-temporal choice of the addicts.In addition,there is no research of mechanism about drug related cues on inter-temporal choice in drug addiction.According to this,heroin addicts in abstinence as the research object.Through experiment 1 and Experiment 2,we investigated the influence of the supraliminal drug related cues on the inter-temporal choice of heroin abstainers.In order to further reveal the mechanism of the influence of the supraliminal drug related cues on the inter-temporal choice of heroin abstainer,Experiments 3 and 4 are conducted.Experiment 3 investigated the mechanism of the influence of the supraliminal drug related cues on the inter-temporal choice of heroin abstainers.Experiment 4,we investigated whether the inhibition control ability of heroin abstainers can predict the ability of inter-temporal choice under subliminal drug related cues.In Experiment 1,37 male heroin abstainers and 34 male normal control groups were selected.The results showed that AUC value under the supraliminal drug related cue condition was significantly lower than that under the condition of supraliminal neutral cue for heroin abstainers,and no significant difference was found between the AUC value under the supraliminal drug related cue condition and the AUC value under the condition of supraliminal neutral cue in the normal control group.In Experiment 2,35 male heroin abstainers and 33 male normal control groups were selected.The results showed that AUC value under the subliminal drug related cues condition was significantly lower than that under the subliminal neutral cue condition for heroin abstainers group,and there was no significant difference between AUC value under the subliminal drug related cue condition and the AUC value under the condition of subliminal neutral clue in the normal control group.In Experiment 3,32 male heroin abstainers were selected.The results showed that the false report rate of no-go under the condition of supraliminal drug related cue could not predict the total variation of AUC value.In Experiment 4,30 male heroin abstainers were selected.The results showed that the no-go false report rate under the condition of subliminal drug related cue could not predict the total variation of AUC value.The results showed that the supraliminal drug related cue could reduce the inter-temporal choice of heroin abstainers.This may be because heroin abstainers attempts to resist the temptation induced by drug related cue and produces self-control when facing drug-related cue,while self-control,especially inhibition control ability,may consume limited resources.After such inhibition control efforts,the subsequent self-control trial is more likely to fail,which leads to impulsive decision making.The subliminal drug related cue can reduce the inter-temporal choice in the heroin abstainers.Besides the failure of self-control,it may be because the response of heroin abstainers to drug related cue is mediated by a series of neuroendocrine and neurotransmitter systems,which can automatically respond to drug related cues,that is,unconscious response.This automatic response is a favorable evolutionary decision-making mechanism for human beings,but for drug addicts,it can lead to adverse decisions.But under the condition of supraliminal drug related cue,the inhibition control ability of heroin abstainers can not predict the ability of inter-temporal choice,which may be because the inhibition control ability does not play a role in it,or because the craving induced by drug related cues plays a significant role in this process.Under the condition of subliminal drug related cue,the inhibition control ability of heroin abstainers can not predict the ability of inter-temporal choice.On the one hand,it may be because the experimental results are not sensitive;on the other hand,the subliminal drug related cues may also induce the craving of heroin abstainers,which leads to their impulsive decision. |
