Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of modified Alisetia decoction in the tr eatment of vestibular migraine(VM)with disturbance of wind-phlegm,and to promoteits clinical application.Method: In the outpatient department of Tianshui Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine,80 VM patients meeting the observation criteria were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group, with 40 cases in each group, for a randomized controlled clinical study. The control group was given flunarizine hydrochloride capsule 10 mg orally once a day in the evening, and the treatment group was given modified Zexie decoction(granules)one bag orally in the morning and evening,7 days as a course of treatment, with 2 courses of each course. The TCM symptom scores, vertigo disorder scale scores, vertigo attack frequency scoring scale scores and the total effective rate of TCM symptoms in 2 groups before and after treatment were observed. Finally, statistical analysis was conducted to draw a conclusion.Result:(1)The total effective rate of the control group(78.4%)was significantly lower than that of the treatment group(89.5%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)Comparison of scores of TCM symptoms: After treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in the scores of burnout and fatigue in the treatment group between the two groups(P>0.05),and there were statistically significant differences in the scores of other TCM symptoms(P<0.05).The scores of TCM symptoms in 2 groups were significantly decreased before and after treatment(P<0.01).(3)Total symptom score of TCM: intra-group and inter-group comparison of total symptom score of TCM in 2 groups before and after treatment showed a significant decrease in total symptom score of TCM in 2 groups(P<0.01).(4)Comparison of DHI scores: After treatment, the total DHI scores in both groups were significantly decreased(P<0.01)compared with those before treatment(P<0.01).(5)The score of frequency of vertigo attacks: The score of frequency of vertigo attacks in the two groups before and after treatment was compared within the two groups and between the two groups, and both groups were significantly decreased(P<0.01),the difference was statistically significant.(6)There was no other discomfort in the two groups after treatment. No obvious abnormalities were found in ECG,three routine tests, and liver and kidney function, indicating that the two groups were safe and effective in clinical use. Conclusion:In terms of improving dizziness, nausea and vomiting, tinnitus and deafness, abnormal sweating, vertigo disorder scale score and vertigo attack frequency score of VM patients with wind-phlegm disturbance, the efficacy of modified Zexia Decoction is better than that of flunarizine hydrochloride capsule group, and it is clinically safe and has no adverse reactions, and has clinical significance of promotion.
