| Childhood leukemia is a hematological malignant tumor with the highest incidence in children.In the past,childhood leukemia was often regarded as an incurable disease in childhood diseases.In recent years,with the advancement of medicine,if children can receive regular and complete treatment during the treatment process,and the infection and other complications that occur during chemotherapy are dealt with in time,more than 80% of childhood leukemias can be cured.Along with the increasing cure rate of childhood leukemia,the families of children with leukemia are under great pressure in economic,spiritual and physiological aspects during the long treatment process,and they are in great need of help from all walks of life.However,there are still many deficiencies in the medical security system related to childhood leukemia in China.In addition,in the process of rapid social changes in contemporary China,the distinctive characteristics of social atomization have been presented,which has enlarged the helpless,lonely,confused and lost state of the families of children with leukemia.As an effective supplement to the formal social support system,the informal social support system for the families of children with leukemia can provide a variety of help for the families of children with leukemia,effectively reduce the pressure and burden they face,so that the children can better receive professional treatment,and the families of children with leukemia can successfully overcome the difficulties.This study took the families of children with leukemia treated in Guangzhou G Hospital as the research object.Through in-depth interviews with the main caregivers of the children,combined with the interviews with the staff of non-profit organizations and medical staff,the non-discrimination of the family groups of leukemia children was investigated.Formal social support system for research.The informal social support system of children’s families is mainly composed of support provided by relatives and friends,mutual support between families of children,and support provided by public welfare organizations.The types,access channels,and influencing factors included in the three social support methods have their own characteristics.The three support methods work together and complement each other to provide financial,spiritual,and information support for the families of the children.In the process of functioning,each type has a certain difference in the way of satisfying the same needs of the family of children with children;The three types of support complement each other in terms of duration,intensity of action,focus of action,and order of appearance;there is a mutually reinforcing relationship between the support between the parents of children and the support of non-profit organizations.At present,the informal support system has difficulties in obtaining support from relatives and friends.The level of mutual assistance and support between families with children still needs to be improved,and the recognition of non-profit organizations is low.We can work hard from the country and society,hospitals and wards,social welfare organizations,the families of children with children,etc.,to improve the level of informal social support for families with children with leukemia.This research can provide new perspectives and references for policymakers and social institutions on how to better help families with children with leukemia,thereby effectively improving the quality of life of families with children with leukemia,and promoting the harmonious and stable development of society. |
