Objective:This study is based on the existing vocational development path education of undergraduate nursing students in higher nursing education lags behind the increasing social development needs,and the positioning of the nurse talents is unclear.The purpose of this study is to explore the vocational development path education plan of undergraduate nursing students matching the current resources of higher nursing education in China,so as to optimize the path of nursing personnel training To innovate the development mode of higher nursing education.Methods:(1)Cross sectional survey: a questionnaire survey was conducted among undergraduate nursing students of a medical college in Shanxi Province from March2020 to June 2020 by convenience sampling to understand the current situation of career development path planning of undergraduate nursing students and analyze its possible influencing factors.(2)expert interviews: Based on the perspective of supply side reform,the phenomenological method of descriptive research was used to conduct in-depth interviews with undergraduate nursing students’ transporters(faculty and administrators of colleges and universities)and nursing students’ groups,so as to understand and analyze the obstacles in current undergraduate nursing students’ career development path planning and education.(3)Based on the previous investigation results,this paper systematically searched the successful examples of career development path planning education in Nursing Higher Education at home and abroad,and made in-depth analysis on the actual development status of Nursing Higher Education in China,so as to formulate feasible rectification measures for undergraduate nursing students’ career development path education,so as to provide useful reference for improving nursing higher education.(4)Evaluation of the effect of the scheme: the whole group selected two classes of undergraduate nurses in 1-4 grade of a medical college in Shanxi Province as experimental and control groups to verify the effectiveness of the reform plan.Results:(1)The results of the survey are as follows:The influencing factors of nursing career in the future include gender,degree of interest in nursing industry,participation in nursing skills competition and initiative of seeking advice from elder sister;the influencing factors of long-term employment in nursing industry are satisfaction with nursing profession;the influencing factors of actively applying to participate in first-line anti epidemic are listening to relevant career planning,initiative of seeking advice from elder sister and enthusiasm for nursing industry Degree of interest.(2)Results of expert interviews: through semi-structured interviews,the providers of Nursing Higher Education extracted three themes:(1)They are qualified in knowledge and operation skills,but lack of independent judgment and thinking ability;(2)they have a wide range of employment and how to teach students in accordance with their aptitude;(3)the contradiction between the large demand of social related institutions and the less recruitment of hospitals every year is becoming increasingly prominent;The demand side of Nursing Higher Education extracted three themes:(1)more emphasis on communication ability;(2)perfunctory work attitude;(3)lack of communication ability,which led to repeated inquiries of patients.(3)The results of the project construction: the vocational education program of undergraduate nursing students based on literature research and Delphi method is composed of three parts: changing educational concept,reforming curriculum system and improving the level of teachers in school.It is scientific and can provide useful reference for improving the current situation of vocational path development and education of nursing higher education talents.(4)Empirical application results: 245 participants in this study,involving four grades,the sample size is sufficient.The results showed that there was no significant difference in learning effect among senior students(P>0.05),In different grades,the intervention group can effectively improve(P<0.05)the learning process,teaching participation,scientific research and academic,professional cognition,learning effect,which proves that the above program is applicable.Conclusion:Based on the perspective of supply side reform,this study aims to explore a career path education program for undergraduate nursing students that matches the actual development of Nursing Higher Education Resources in China.The status quo analysis showed that the influencing factors of career path planning of undergraduate nursing students presented multi-dimensional characteristics;There is still a lack of standard and standardized professional path education and training system in the delivery side of nursing talents,and the traditional top-down passive teaching is still the main way;Based on the literature and Delphi method,the undergraduate nursing students’ career path planning education program mainly covers the change of educational philosophy,curriculum system reform,and the improvement of school teachers’ level;The preliminary empirical study confirmed that it has positive significance to improve the career planning level of undergraduate nursing students,In the future,large sample size study can be carried out to further test its effect,Objective to provide reference for improving the training system of career development path of nursing students in higher nursing education in China.
