Objective:The asthmatic children with a history of wheezing(≤3 times)and risk factors of recurrent wheezing in the previous 1 year were selected and treated by the method of reducing phlegm and relieving asthma and invigorating spleen and invigorating qi respectively in the acute attack and recovery stage. To explore the clinical efficacy of Dingchuan Decoction combined with western medicine in the treatment of asthmatic bronchitis in children(phlegm-heat obstructing lung syndrome)in the acute attack period and the intervention treatment of Erchen Decoction combined with Yupingfeng Sanhua in the convalescence period, and to explore the efficacy of supporting vital qi,eliminating phlegm, improving physical condition and reducing wheezing recurrence in children in the convalescence period. It provides a new method and research direction for the treatment and prevention of asthmatic bronchitis in children. Methods:All the cases were from the Pediatric Outpatient Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Chinese Medicine from June 2019 to January 2021,and all met the diagnostic criteria of asthmatic bronchitis in children(phlegm-heat obstructing lung syndrome),and the children had a history of wheezing(≤3 times)and risk factors for repeated wheezing in the previous 1 year. The children were randomly divided into the treatment group(n = 40)and the control group(n =40).Montelukast sodium chewable tablets were given to the two groups during the acute attack period. In addition, the treatment group was additively given the traditional Chinese medicine decoction of Xuanfeiqingchuan and reducing phlegm for10 days during the attack period, and the prescription was selected to add flavor to the decoction, while the control group was additively given the oral solution of Pediatric Ferekechuan for 10 days.In addition, both groups could be treated with atomized inhalation as needed in case of wheezing weight in the acute attack period.During the convalescence period, the treatment group was given traditional Chinese medicine decoction of invigorating spleen, replenishing qi and resolving phlegm for 4 weeks, and Er Chen decoction and Yupingfeng Sanhua decoction were selected, while the control group was given no traditional Chinese medicine intervention treatment. Then the follow-up period was 3 months, and the recurrence times of cold and wheezing were recorded respectively in the two groups. In the end,all the data obtained were analyzed using SPSS26.0 statistical software. Results:There were no significant differences in gender, age, course of disease and scores of individual symptoms and signs between the two groups(P > 0.05),indicating comparability between the two groups. After the treatment in the acute attack stage, the disease efficacy,TCM syndrome efficacy and The Times of atomization were compared between the two groups. The results were statistically significant(P < 0.05),and the disease efficacy and TCM syndrome efficacy in the treatment group were better than those in the control group, and The Times of atomization in the treatment group were less than those in the control group. The cough and wheezing of the two groups were compared at each observation point in the acute attack period. The results showed that the treatment group was better than the control group(P < 0.05),which was statistically significant. The comparison of wheezing and pulmonary signs at the observation point on day 3±1 was statistically significant(P < 0.05),and the treatment group was superior to the control group.Comparison of recurrent wheezing and colds between the two groups in the convalescence period showed that P < 0.05 was statistically significant, and the recurrent wheezing and colds in the treatment group were less than those in the control group, indicating that the application of traditional Chinese medicine for invigorating spleen and replenishing qi in the convalescence period had the effect of supporting vital qi,eliminating phlegm, improving physical condition and preventing wheezing attacks. Conclusion:It is feasible to use the method of relieving phlegm and relieving asthma and invigorating spleen and replenishing qi to treat asthmatic bronchitis in children by stages. It has significant curative effect in the acute phase, can shorten the course of disease and improve the curative effect. In the convalescence period,it can effectively eliminate phlegm, support vital qi,improve physical fitness, reduce the relapse of feeling, and then reduce the number of wheezing recurrence.
