| ObjectiveTo evaluate the application of susceptibility weighted imaging(SWI)in Hoehn-Yahr classification of Parkinson’s disease(PD)by meta-analysis.MethodsLiteratures about the application of SWI in Hoehn-Yahr classification of PD were searched from PubMed,Web of science,Embass,CNKI,Wanfang and VIP databases.Rev Man5.3 software was used for Meta-analysis.ResultsTotally 13 studies were enrolled. The overall effect value of substantia nigra and globus pallidus phase values between early PD group and control group was statistically different[Z = 2.39,2.66,P = 0.02,0.008,95% CI(-0.05,-0.01),95% CI(-0.06,-0.01)].The overall effect value of substantia nigra, globus pallidus, putamen and caudate nucleus phase values between middle and late PD group and control group was statistically different[Z =3.82、2.08、3.75、2.05,P = 0.0001、0.04、0.0002、0.04,95% CI(-0.08,-0.03)、95%CI(-0.15,-0.00)、95%CI(-0.09,-0.03)、95%CI(-0.01,-0.00)].The overall effect value of substantia nigra and globus pallidus phase values between middle and late PD group and early PD group was statistically different[Z=3.64、2.39,P=0.0003、0.02,95% CI(-0.06,-0.02)、95%CI(-0.10,-0.01)].ConclusionIn early PD,there are abnormal iron deposits in the substantia nigra and globus pallidus, which increase with the progression of the disease.SWI is of great significance for the early diagnosis and severity assessment of PD. |
