Clinical Effect And Mechanism Of Intranasal Acupuncture For Allergic Rhinitis

Objective:1.To verify the clinical effect of intranasal acupuncture on AR.2.To explore the mechanism of intranasal acupuncture in treating AR based on neuroendocrine network.Methods:A total of 60 patients with AR were recruited from the outpatient department of Otolaryngology,First Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine from 2019.01 to 2019.12,aged from 18 to 70 years old,regardless of gender.AR patients were randomly divided into experimental group(intranasal acupuncture group)and control group(loratadine group)according to the random number table,with 30 patients in each group.Before and after treatment,TNSS scale of major clinical symptoms,TNNSS scale of concomitant symptoms,RQLQ questionnaire of nasal conjunctivitis quality of life,VAS scale were observed,and the levels of related neuropeptides(SP,VIP,NPY)in patients before and after treatment were determined by enzymatic linked immunosorbency assay(ELISA).Results:1.At the end of this study,the total effective rates of the experimental group and the control group were 86.67% and 73.33%,respectively.The efficacy in the experimental group was significantly higher(P < 0.05)than in the control group by the rank sum test.2.After 14 days of treatment,TNSS scale in the experimental group was significantly lower(P < 0.05)than in the control group by independent sample non-parameter test.Meanwhile,TNNSS scale,RQLQ and VAS were significantly lower((P < 0.05)than in the control group by independent sample t test.3.The concentration changes of SP,VIP and NPY in the two groups before and after the test were compared.After 14 days of treatment,the differences of SP,VIP and NPY between the two groups by independent sample t test were statistically significant,the decrease degree of SP and VIP in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group,while the increase degree in the NPY experimental group was higher than that in the control group.Conclusion:After 14 days of clinical treatment,the clinical efficacy of the experimental group(intranasal acupuncture group)was better than that of the control group(Loratadine group),and the SP and VIP levels in the experimental group were significantly lower,thus reducing the inflammatory and allergic state of the body,increasing the level of NPY,promoting the tension and contraction of nasal microvessels and thus improving the ventilation state.
