Objective:Based on meridian and qi-blood theory of traditional Chinese medicine. The study was conducted to observe the clinical efficacy of swift pricking acupoint of Shaoyang meridian combined with routine acupuncture on migraine(blood stasis type).Methods:60 patients were randomly divided into 2 groups who met the criteria:the combined swift pricking group(swift pricking acupoint of Shaoyang meridian combined with routine acupuncture)and the routine acupuncture group, and each group is 30 patients. The study was conducted once every other day and three times a week for four weeks. The VAS score after the first treatment and headache score and total score, quality of life score and the situation of cerebrovascular blood flow velocities before and after treatment were recorded, and the improvement degree of headache total score was used as the criterion for overall efficacy evaluation.Results:1.Comparison of immediate analgesia:VAS scores before treatment were compared(P>0.05).After the first treatment, the VAS score of both combined swift pricking group and routine acupuncture group decreased than before. The two groups were compared in intra-group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference of VAS scores before and after treatment was larger in combined swift pricking group, and the difference were compared in inter-group(P<0.05).2.Comparison of headache score and total points, quality of life score:All scores before treatment were compared(P>0.05).The headache score and total score of both combined swift pricking group and routine acupuncture group decreased than before, and quality of life score increased than before. All scores of combined swift pricking group and routine acupuncture group were compared in intra-group(P<0.05).The difference of all scores before and after treatment was larger in combined swift pricking group. The difference of pain duration score was compared in inter-group(P>0.05).The difference of attack frequency score, headache severity score, accompanied by symptom score and quality of life score were compared in inter-group(P<0.05).3.The situation of cerebrovascular blood flow velocities:Before treatment, the two groups were comparable before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment, the number of cases with normal cerebrovascular blood flow velocity increased after treatment. The situation of cerebrovascular blood flow velocity was compared in intra-group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),and the situation were compared in inter-group(P<0.05).4.Overall efficacy:the overall efficacy of combined swift pricking group was 90%,the overall efficacy of the routine acupuncture group was 76.67%,and there was a significant statistical difference in the overall efficacy of the groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Both the pricking joint group and the routine acupuncture group were effective in treating migraine(blood stasis type),and the former is more effective.2.Compared with the conventional acupuncture method, the combined acupuncture method has more advantages in immediate pain relief, reducing the frequency of headache attacks, reducing the intensity of headache attacks, alleviating the accompanying symptoms, improving the quality of life and improving the cerebrovascular flow rate.
