| OBJECTIVE:By evaluating the clinical effect of combination of electro-acupuncture and mild moxibustion on the tendon junctions in the treatment for upper limb spasticity after stroke of Qi deficiency and blood stasis,it initiates a new method for similar clinical diseases.METHODS:Among 64 participants with spasticity of the upper limb after stroke(qi deficiency and blood stasis)were brought into this clinical trial, all of whom met the criteria for inclusion and discharge. They were divided into groups by random number table, with 32 participants in each group. In addition to routine stroke treatment and supportive treatment for western medicine, both groups were treated with acupuncture treatment scheme, including anterior oblique line of vertex-temporal of the lesion and the tendon junctions of affected limb’s the extensor,on this basis, the treatment group added to spastic muscles(the flexors)tendon junctions of moxibustion. On the 6th of the week,2 weeks is a course of treatment, and there are two courses in total. The curative effect evaluation scale selected MAS、ROM、FMA and MBI,and the evaluation period was pre-treatment,2 weekends(day 14),and 4 weekends(day 28).Compared the difference in clinical effect between treatment group and control group before and after intervention.RESULT:1.Comparison of MAS、FMA、MBI and elbow joint ROM scores, after 2 weeks of treatment, the comparison within the group was higher than before the treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05);Comparison of MAS and FMA with the control group, which was not statistically significant(p>0.05);Comparison of MBI scores and ROM scores with the control group, which was statistically significant(p<0.05).2.Comparison of MAS、FMA、MBI and elbow joint ROM scores,at the end of the treatment, the comparison within the group was higher than after 2 weeks of treatment, the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05);The comparison between groups was higher than before the treatment, the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).3.Compared with clinical efficacy, after two courses of treatment, the total effective rate in the treatment group was 93.75%,and the total effective rate in the control group was 84.38%,the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).The clinical effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.CONCLUSION:1.Electro-acupuncture at the tendon junctions of the extensor and combined with moxibustion on the tendon junctions of the flexors all can alleviate spasticity of the upper limb poststroke.2.Combined with moxibustion on the tendon junctions of the flexors, the initial time to improve the patient’s ability of daily living was earlier than that of electro-acupuncture at the tendon junctions of the extensor.3.Electro-acupuncture combined with moxibustion on the tendon junctions of affected upper extremity is better than single electro-acupuncture treatment. |
