Objective Research and produce PICC Feedback Education Guidance Sheet; To explore the effect of health education intervention program of Teache-back method combined with functional exercise in breast cancer patients with first catheterization on self-management ability of PICC,daily knowledge and practice level of PICC,medical coping style, hospital anxiety and depression state, and incidence of complications after catheterization.Method(1)By consulting the literature at home and abroad to understand the current situation of related theories, combined with the existing education methods in the study area, consult PICC experts, oncology experts and nursing pedagogy experts, formulate the first draft of PICC feedback education guidance sheet, and sort out and modify the problems found by clinical pre-experiment,and finally form the "PICC feedback education health guidance sheet" for breast cancer patients for the first time.(2)A total of 80 breast cancer patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria in a third-class hospital in Inner Mongolia Autonomous region from January 2020 to January 2021 were randomly divided into two groups with a sample size of 40 cases in each group. The control group received routine health education, while the experimental group received health education intervention program of Teach-back method combined with functional exercise. The experimental group was intervened five times, before, during,on the same day after catheterization, the first day after catheterization and the third day after catheterization. The total score and each dimension score of PICC self-management ability, the total score and each dimension score of PICC daily knowledge, belief and practice, the choice of medical coping style, the anxiety and depression status of patients and the incidence of PICC-related complications were compared between the two groups before and after intervention.Results(1)A total of 80 eligible patients were included in this study, including 40 in the experimental group and 40 in the control group. In the course of the study, there was no loss of follow-up,withdrawal and death due to illness, and finally completed the information collection, collation, input and analysis of all the subjects. There was no significant difference in general demographic data and general clinical data between the two groups(P > 0.05).(2)Comparison of PICC self-management ability between the two groups after intervention: the total score of the control group was(98±15.43),the total score of the experimental group was(132.65±15.18),and the scores of all dimensions were higher than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.001).(3)Comparison of the level of knowledge, belief and practice in daily management of PICC between the two groups after intervention: the total score and the three dimensions of knowledge, behavior and attitude in the control group were divided into(63.98±12.84),(21.20±3.40),(17.50±3.84)and(25.28±6.07);The total score and each dimension score of(86.28±12.90),(29.93±5.17),(23.60±3.19)and(32.75±5.31),in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.001).(4)Comparison of the choice of medical coping style between the two groups after intervention: the face score of the control group was(18.88±2.47),the avoidance score was(17.60±2.75),the yield score was(13.43±2.22);the face score of the experimental group was(24.98±2.08),the avoidance score was(11.83±2.43),and the yield score was(10.48±1.88),and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.001).(5)Comparison of the scores of anxiety and depression between the two groups after intervention: the scores of anxiety and depression in the control group were(12.10±2.33)and(11.05 ±3.29)respectively,while those in the experimental group were(7.83 ±1.45)and(8.55 ±2.04)respectively.The scores of anxiety and depression in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P < 0.001).(6)Comparison of the incidence of PICC-related complications between the two groups after intervention: the probability of occurrence in the control group was 32.5%,and that in the experimental group was 12.5%.There was a significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P < 0.05).Conclusion Compared with routine health education, the health education intervention program of Teach-back combined with functional exercise effectively improved the level of patients’ self-management,daily knowledge, belief and practice of PICC,changed patients’ medical coping style, improved patients’ anxiety and depression, and reduced the incidence of PICC complications.
