| Objective1.Through the formulation of the questionnaire of knowledge,attitude and practice of chronic gingivitis for patients with chronic gingivitis,a more scientific evaluation tool was provided for nurses to investigate the knowledge,attitude and practice of patients with chronic gingivitis.2.To understand the knowledge,attitude and practice of chronic gingivitis for patients with chronic gingivitis through questionnaire survey.To explore the factors of knowledge,attitude and practice,and provide a basis for nursing staff to implement more scientific and effective intervention measures for patients.Methods1.Based on the theory of knowledge,attitude and practice,the questionnaire of knowledge,attitude and practice of chronic gingivitis was preliminarily formulated by literature review,semi-structured interview,Delphi method and small sample pre-survey.A questionnaire survey was conducted among patients with chronic gingivitis who met the standards of inclusion and exclusion in the department of stomatology of a tertiary hospital in Wuhan to evaluate the reliability and validity of the initial questionnaire.SPSS20.0 software was used to conduct item analysis and evaluate reliability and validity on the collected data,and the formal questionnaire of knowledge,attitude and practice of chronic gingivitis was formed.2.With the method of convenient sampling,the self-designed general information questionnaire of chronic gingivitis patients and the questionnaire of knowledge,attitude and practice of chronic gingivitis were used as the survey tools.A cross sectional survey was conducted to investigate 329 patients with chronic gingivitis who met the standards of inclusion and exclusion in the department of stomatology of a tertiary general hospital in Wuhan.Excel was used to input the data,and SPSS 20.0 was used for statistical analysis.Enumeration data were described by frequency and percentage,while measurement data were described by mean and standard deviation.The correlation among knowledge,attitude and practice was analyzed by Pearson correlation.Univariate analysis of knowledge,attitude and practice of chronic gingivitis was conducted using two independent sample t test and one-way ANOVA.The factors influencing knowledge,attitude and practice of chronic gingivitis were analyzed by multiple linear regression.Results1.This study conducted two rounds of Delphi expert consultation,and 16 experts were invited.In the two rounds of expert consultation,the positive degree and the authority coefficient of experts were higher,and the Kendall’s W coefficient was 0.392 and 0.426(P< 0.05).After two rounds of expert consultation,the pre-survey was conducted,and the questionnaire of knowledge,attitude and practice of chronic gingivitis with 38 items and 3dimensions was preliminarily formed.2.After item analysis by critical ratio method and correlation coefficient method,9items were deleted,and 2 items were deleted after exploratory factor analysis.The final formal questionnaire of knowledge,attitude and practice of chronic gingivitis contains a total of 27 items and 3 dimensions,including 11 items of knowledge dimensions,6 items of attitude dimensions and 10 items of practice dimensions.The overall content validity(S-CVI)of the questionnaire was 0.995,and the content validity(I-CVI)of each item level is 0.86～1.00.The Cronbach’s coefficients of knowledge,attitude and practice were0.792～0.832.The retest reliability of knowledge,attitude and practice were 0.810～0.873.3.The mean total score of knowledge,attitude and practice in patients with chronic gingivitis was(73.68 ± 9.73).The average score of knowledge dimension was(8.84 ±2.16),and the score rate of each item is 62.31% ～ 89.97%.The average score of attitude dimension was(24.48±4.35),and the score rate of each item is 71.25% ～ 88.33%.The average score of behavior dimension was(40.37±5.38),and the score rate of each item is64.50% ～ 92.71%.4.There were positive correlations between knowledge and attitude,knowledge and practice,attitude and practice(P< 0.05),with correlation coefficients of 0.489,0.376,0.511(P< 0.05)respectively.5.Multivariate analysis results showed that the influencing factors of knowledge scores of chronic gingivitis were whether they had received oral health education,educational levels,and whether they had seen the dentist in the past 1 year.The influencing factors of attitude scores of chronic gingivitis were whether they had received oral health education,educational levels,and whether they had had toothwash.The influencing factors of practice scores of chronic gingivitis were whether they had had toothwash,whether they had seen the dentist in the past 1 year,and genders.The influencing factors of the total score of knowledge,attitude and practice of chronic gingivitis were whether they had received oral health education,whether they had had toothwash,educational levels,whether they had seen the dentist in the past 1 year and genders.Conclusions1.The questionnaire of knowledge,attitude and practice of chronic gingivitis compiled in this study has good reliability and validity,and can be used as an evaluation tool to evaluate the knowledge,attitude and practice of chronic gingivitis for patients with chronic gingivitis.2.The knowledge level of chronic gingivitis for patients with chronic gingivitis in the department of stomatology of a tertiary hospital in Wuhan was tolerableness,their attitude was positive,and partial practice levels were generally low,and their knowledge,attitude and practice levels were positively correlated.Gender,educational level,whether they had received oral health education,whether they had seen the dentist in the past 1 year,whether they had had toothwash were the factors affecting the knowledge,attitude and practice level of chronic gingivitis for patients with chronic gingivitis.It is suggested that nursing stuff should take effective measures to improve the level of knowledge,attitude and practice of patients according to its influencing factors,promote the formation of good oral health behavior of patients,prevent and slow down the occurrence and development of chronic gingivitis,and then promote the overall health. |
