Objective The adverse drug reactions of patients with convulsive epilepsy treated with phenobarbital, sodium valproate and the combination of phenobarbital and valproate and followed up for 3 years in rural Ningxia were analyzed. Methods Between January 2015 and December 2018,the township health hospital physicians use unified household surveys, the adverse drug reactions of follow-up form of ningxia district has 22 districts and counties by phenobarbital or(and)valproate treatment in 2015,213 patients with convulsive epilepsy who were enrolled in Ningxia epilepsy prevention and management project were followed up,statistical analysis of the occurrence of adverse drug reactions, the relationship between drug dose and adverse reactions, the clinical manifestations of the adverse reaction distribution in the different periods. Results 1.Follow-up for 1-3 years showed mild adverse reactions in phenobarbital group, and the incidence of adverse reactions were 25.62%(31/121),19.01%(23/121)and 12.40%(15/121),respectively.In the first year of follow-up,the incidence of mild and moderate adverse reactions was 10.17%(6/59)and5.08%(3/59)in the sodium valproate group. In the second and third year, the incidence of mild adverse reactions was 5.08%(3/59)and 3.39%(2/59),respectively.The incidence of ADR was 30.30%(10/33),12.12%(4/33)and 9.09%(3/33)in the two-drug combination group, respectively. The incidence of ADR in the phenobarbital group, the sodium valproate group and the two-drug combination group decreased year by year(P<0.05).2.follow-up period, the dose of phenobarbital(phenobarbital group, the two-drug combination group),the dose of valproic acid sodium(valproate group, the two-drug combination group 1 year,2 years),respectively, with no correlation between incidence of adverse reaction(P > 0.05),but the two-drug combination group 3 years dose valproic acid sodium and positive correlation between incidence of adverse reactions(P < 0.05).Conclusion The adverse reactions of phenobarbital group, sodium valproate group and two-drug combination group were mild and moderate, and the incidence of adverse reactions decreased year by year.
