| Objective: At present,the higher medical educations’ character is long training cycle,high degree of specialization and heavy teaching tasks.Insufficient academic motivation will affect medical students’ academic achievement.Academic motivation can explain why medical student will study hard.Therefore,we will explore medical students’ academic motivation,influencing factors and their interaction.By studying the different influencing factors of medical students’ motivation,this paper provides a scientific basis for strengthening medical students’ academic motivation management.Methods: This study’s investigation time is from October to December 2020,using stratified cluster random sampling,randomly selected 970 undergraduates’ students for questionnaire survey.The questionnaire mainly were used to measure the demographic characteristics,academic characteristics,academic motivation,academic self-efficacy and depression of medical students.Analysis method are Cronbach’s α coefficient,t test,ANONA,Person correlation and multiple linear hierarchical regression analysis.The mediating effect was evaluated by Bootstraps,α=0.05.Results:1.The internal consistency reliability of AMS scale,academic self-efficacy scale and simplified CES-D scale is between 0.743 and 0.949.2.The scores of all sub-dimensions of medical students’ academic motivation were Extrinsic motivation-identified(5.69±1.11),Extrinsic motivation-external regulation(5.48±1.17),Intrinsic motivation-to know(5.30±1.21),Intrinsic motivation-to experience stimulation(4.88±1.36),Intrinsic motivation-toward accomplishment(4.84±1.36)and Extrinsic motivation-introjected(4.39±1.28).3.The main influencing factors of learning motivation are gender,grade,major,scholarship,average weekly preview time,academic self-efficacy and depression(P<0.05).22.2% of the total variation in the learning motivation of medical students was explained.4.Academic self-efficacy has an mediating effect between depression and academic motivation(95%CI:-0.794,-0.026),mediating effect account for 16.0% total effect.Conclusion: The main type of medical students’ motivation is extrinsic motivation tendency,and the level is low.The main influencing factors of learning motivation are gender,grade,major,scholarship,average weekly preview time,academic self-efficacy and depression.Moreover,academic self-efficacy has an intermediary effect between depression and academic motivation.Educators should take relevant measures according to different demographic and academic characteristics,in addition,through early screening of depression,holding lectures on psychology and academic strategies,setting moderately difficult tasks and other intervention measures,finally improving the current situation of medical students’ academic motivation. |
